Type R and VTEC owners

I like to think I have the desire, just zero confidence.

I once thought about putting a decat pipe on my car, got it jacked it up, wooden blocks on the back tyres, 2 axle stands and a back up jack too. And I had to build up the courage to get underneath! In the end the nuts were too tight/rusty to remove. And I certainly didn't want to be giving it full force with a spanner, lying on my driveway with a very heavy car hovering above my head.

I don't mind changing bulbs, and air filters. Nice easy jobs :D

same here.

i like to do bits. fitted my intake etc but fitting something like an inlet mani or something, I would prefer a specialist to do it.

in honesty, the EP3 is really easy to work on, my Fiesta ST was a total PITA to get to important bits.
 
Got my quieter exhaust fitted today and my Mugen bum.

Go for it, it's not that expensive. Or just do one bit at a time if you can't afford front and rear together :)
 
Last weekend i got torque mounts replaced by upgraded polyurethane ones.
I can say that finally im happy with engine movement :)

What exhaust do you have? The Mugen bumper definitely made my car sound a bit louder after fitting it.

Unfortunately splitting my car next week (supercharged, LSD, stoptech brakes, Toda exhaust, HKS coilovers, etc) as no one wanted to buy it even at what I thought was a very low price for condition of car/modifications compared to other supercharged FN2s with less mods.
 
Got a big discount for helping Tegiwa out with some stuff so I got one of theirs, had a Martelius before but that thing was way too loud. ****ed all over Spoon N1 EP3's and that's when I decided it was time to grow up a bit.
New one is great, way more refined.
You'll probs be best of splitting anyway I think, you on Civinfo?
 
I hate to jump into a thread like this, but my Del Sol (cough.... :o) has an ominous rattle coming from the exhaust.

Can't make up my mind whether to stay with the standard exhaust or splash out for a spiffy one. I do fancy something a little louder. There are only a couple available and are pricey? Worth it?
 
Well my 306gti is gone and Im officially carless now.

Ive been pondering over a Civic Type R or maybe a Megane 225 Trophy as a replacement.

This year Ive gone through lots of ideas on cars. But I do love sporty hatches.
