Type R and VTEC owners

Anyone know what real life mpg is like on a pre-facelift ep3 type r?
I only do a 8 mile drive to work and is mainly on your typical A roads which are sometimes really busy.

A friend of a friend had one a while back (mid last year) and I know he got 60 miles from £20 when he was blasting it. Similar to what I got in the ST. I guess I'll only find out if/when I get it.

Saw a pristine EK9 driven by a 40yr old, a DC5 by a bloke in a suit and an FD2 with some damage all within 10mins, all in CW on the epic streets of Kyoto.

Type-Rs over here in their home are porn driven by porn heros.

I want to live here with my DC2 and have a Mines Skyline as my fun car :(:):)

You have taken this opportunity to buy some rare parts, ship them to yourself and fit sell them, right?

Rejoice, the car is back. Oh how I missed it. It seems to get to temp quicker now as well. I'll install the K&N tomorrow and slowly set it in. I think 5w-40 fully syn wasn't a good choice of oil as it still seems tappaty. Will try a thicker oil in the future.

AND NO OIL LEAKS!

Got my oil changed today as well, its that little bit smoother to drive now, I'm not at all convinced the oil was actually changed by Brindley Honda in West Bromwich before I bought....so much for 'We'll give it a full service before you collect it' and full Honda service history counting for something :(....still, sorted now.

I don't trust garages one bit. I never have, never will. Although on this occasion a friend recommended me to them and he's always used them. Very reasonable labour charge and did all the work I mentioned them to do. I wanted to take it to TGM, maybe next time for the VC's. Oil is clean but I can't work out the true level at the moment.

BUT NO LEAKS, I'M SO HAPPY. Those leaks were annoying, especially at the sump. I drove many miles with leaks only to realise my breakdown cover didn't get renewed! How lucky! Glad I brokedown locally when the pulley went on its way (which I will get pics of tomorrow to show how it got worn out).

New tyres and bushes and it should be set. Been an expensive purchase so far. I guess it's ok as I can be at ease now knowing it's ok. Will be in a derv next purchase round. :(

Seeing far too many shrines, walking around, eating and drinking sake to research into overnight parts from Japan :D

Anyway, my Teg is perfect and needs nothing............ :p

I took the Accord over to TGM yesterday to give it a good going over and an MOT... passed with flying colours and they couldn't spot anything that needed doing :D nice!
