He's in the side because Hodgson likes his midfielders to be disciplined, not to cover Johnson specifically who ironically's been England's best defender in both of the previous 2 games.

A real matter of opinion that BaZ. All well and good putting in the big tackles and looking good for the camera's a lot of the tackles he put in against the Sweedes was because he was took up poor positions in the first place.


We can all get a bit partizan where our own players are concerned with the national set up. Glenn Johnson is not a good defender
