Valorant

For everyone saying they've been playing games for decades since the BBC Micro and they love CS 1.6 but think this looks boring; do yourselves a favour, set a twitch stream going, get a key, and try it for yourselves. You are seriously missing out on the best competitive FPS to come out in years. It's ridiculously hard but so is CS. It's basically impossible to be a fan of 1.6 and not be a fan of this. It unashamedly copies the gunplay and adds the abilities in to mix it up. It's fantastic.

I seriously doubt playing it would change my mind - I'm not even saying I think it is bad/boring just find the hype completely disproportionate to what I'm seeing of the game and I find that a big turn off of itself. (It is obviously being manufactured by the developer and Riot/LOL fans in general).

Can't agree with the fan of CS not a fan of this thing as for some, albeit it is moved a bit from its roots in more recent incarnations, there are quite a few who like CS for the military themed tactical side of it, like the pure gunplay without unrealistic abilities, etc. and are not a fan of games like Overwatch, etc. at all which this one is a kind of hybrid of.

Stop being stubborn and try it, it's free. You've no basis to agree or disagree with anything at this point in time as you haven't tried it.

CS is, and always has been, completely about the gunplay and the teamwork aspect of it. The only thing Valorant and Overwatch have in common are the fact that the heroes have abilities, and the cell shaded asthetic (this gives the graphics longevity). They are world's apart from each other in terms of gameplay.

Well I've watched a few streams and the game looks like a pile of CRAP ! as others have said its Tech a Fantasy version of CS GO ! I've just seen a Video of DR Disrespec & Shroud Slating the game on YT below.

Lets be honest these guys play games 24/7 ! if they say its Crap its Crap

Im more for Fast paced action Valorant looks way to slow , I'm going to pass on the game but I'm sure others may enjoy it,.

Can you point me to where Shroud is reviewing the game in that video? I couldn't find any point where he really said anything at all about it, let alone anything negative?

I'm glad DrDisrespect has quit, he was just being toxic, rage quitting and ruining games for people.

I personally can't stand games with hero abilities. Quake killed it for me and I'm seeing the same crap in this as well. Firewalls, Icy floors etc etc

It is always a Marmite feature - personally I love it when done properly though not all games do it well. The only one I don't like is ESP/Wallhack type abilities (other than a vague radar) unless there is a comprehensive counter game involved and even then I'm leery I usually just straight up won't play games that have it though happy enough with the implementation in BF4, etc. as you have stealth abilities to counter it there and/or commander can shield you.

Nothing to do with being stubborn. I don't need to try it to have a very strong basis to have an opinion on it with the level of experience I have - I can pretty much create a game like that from scratch.

Sure the gun play is very different but there are a lot of other aspects that overlap between it and Overwatch.

It's much more like cs than overwatch. Stacking abilities in overwatch at the right time wins you games, in this it might get you a round or two. It's far more dependant on the gunplay. The best thing about it is the hit reg. It does feel far better than csgo in that respect. No bullet sponges. Still uninstalled down to anti cheat always running in the background despite the game not being open.

DrDisrespect doesn't like it 1. Because he is useless at it 2. Because he didn't join the early beta for streamers and didn't have drops at the time.

Shroud has been playing pretty much only valorant since release and really enjoys it.

Quoted for truth.

Pretty bad how he was false advertising the beta key drops, just to get viewers.

A lot of the CS pros are really enjoying it still, a close colleague who used to be semi-pro was playing with Stewie2k last night, and they were all having a great time.

I'm not enjoying this anymore its too difficult
1. To get a team together, otherwise its a lottery of who you get and
2. Not to come across complete pros pretty much all of the time.

They need to add some sort of ranking system.

Great ideas, but getting owned all the time just isn't fun.

Just keep at it mate, playing against people that are better than you is the best way to improve. I remember when I first started playing CS back in about 1999, it took me about 3 months before I even started getting kills. It's seriously rewarding when it starts to click.

I'm having the same problem today though, can't aim at all. :(

Imagine that. Getting advice from a clown with a big wig that's always yelling like that whether a game is good or not.

"The client does not consider a machine trusted unless it recognizes the driver"

So some dedicated hacker is going to reverse engineer the driver, any built in Windows validation will be in the hands of the OS owner ultimately and ways around driver signing, etc. exist, and then send commands to the client as if it is the driver, the client then happily works.

Happened before, will happen again. Not saying they shouldn't bother but ultimately there is only one way to effectively negate the impact of cheating in your games for people.

Yeah but he's still a pain in the ass.

:D I know he's very marmite but I love him, watch his stream daily. I just find him so entertaining, the production value alone makes it worth a watch for me, but then I totally appreciate why people don't like him. In fact, before I'd watched a stream of his, I used to see clips of him on PUBG compilation videos and used to think he was an idiot
