You do indeed - and AMD's £250 product was the RX 590, which was a pointless, slow GPU for too much money. At least the price cuts came quickly once it became clear what a waste of time it was, and it makes more sense if well under £200. But Nvidia didn't release the 1660 Ti to compete with clearance sales of Vega 56 (I'm not sure they'd even begun at the time), because that's a problem that solves itself within months when stock is exhausted. Equally, Vega 56 isn't AMD's answer to any of Nvidia's current products. It's officially an end of life product with dwindling stock. And I'd be amazed if AMD or their partners are making much of anything out of selling Vega cards for current prices, given the expense of HBM2 and the high end PCBs and coolers required to house such a thirsty GPU. Nvidia sure aren't worried about Vega (and never were).
