Vote: Chelsea vs Liverpool

all of Terry's attributes are better than Carraghers for a start! Dont get me wrong, im not saying Carragher is a bad player, he has improved massively under Benitez, but any non Liverpool fan would take Terry over Carragher any day of the week. JT rules!!

Thats not really much of an arguement, thats just like saying 'Terrys better because hes better'. But why?

Crespo (no question. I rate him as the best in Europe)

Cech (2nd best in UK is Carlo)

Terry (no question - but I do rate Carragher and this is a must have pairing for the world cup)

Lampard - unless he's having an off day. They're not so similar as some folks make out. But I don't think you can play them in the same team - not for 90 mins anyway.

I'm amazed that anyone can mention fowler in the same breath as Crespo. One has tremendous talent, strength, stamina and foresight. And the other doesn't.

I picked Terry over Carra for the simple fact he pops up with important goals

Not much between them for defending attributes for me anyway

Okey, heres my say.

Why lampard?: Hes just a quallity midfielder, plays where he is supposed to and works well as a team. Also, he is a great kick-taker. At the start of the season he was the prems highest top scoccer and hes a midfielder? I rate Gerrard but I believe Lampard is better for the fact that hes much more strong upfront which Gerrard isnt.

Why Crespo?: Fowlers good, I admit it but has anyone ever seen goals scored like Crespos, take the liverpool match (i think it was that one, correct me if im wrong). A left footed volly into the goal, not many strikers could have pulled that off.

Why Terry?: How many deffenders do you know who can score goals aswell as be a world class deffender. Its a fact, terry is world class, not many balls get past him. Fair enough, he slips up, but not often. Carra is good too, but can he go forwad for corners etc and score goals like Terry does, then go back and deffend? No.

He's obviously missed some votes for Gerrard :)

Just added it up myself, must've been blue tinted specs before :p (or creative accounting):

Robbie Fowler 2
Herman Crespo 37

Cech 37
Reina 1
Terry 1

John Terry 26
Jamie Carragher 13

Frank Lampard 18
Steven Gerrard 21

39 Votes in total

The only area that Terry is marginally better than Carragher is in the air. They both deal with dangerous crosses very well but the only reason Terry gets more headed goals is because he's the target man when Chelsea have corners. Liverpool have Crouch and Hyypia to aim for and very rarely does Carragher get the chance for a headed goal.

crespo (he's ver good, although it pains me.)
reina (cech lost it this seasn, not as solid, reina has more to do and looks great)
carragher ( I love him so much passion gets better every game)
Gerrard (he's just better)

Both Renia and Cech get in very easy in comparison due to the team in front of them. They’re both good keepers but not great and I think they’d struggle at a weaker club.
Cech did very well for his last 2 clubs & internationally, with defences that wernt all that good.
PM is one of the worlds best ever keepers, just like Kahn used to be(he's past it now). But i think the next keepers to go in the books as the worlds all time bests are Buffon & Cech.

Buffon and Kahn are in a different class to Cech. He’s done nothing since coming to PL that’s impressed me much, which is not entirely his fault I admit. The Barca game may prove me wrong, but he just doesn’t strike me as being a great keeper.
