Have you missed some of the fantastic saves that Cech made last season when someone actually got past his defence? Most arguably against Barca last season..when he made amazing saves keeping Chelsea in it long enough for JT to score the winner.

when someone breaks someone elses leg in an accident does it mean they are a lesser player than someone else? Does it mean that FL should not have come 2nd in the world footballer of the year award?

I agree.

No one means to break someone elses leg. Does he go out there with the intention in his mind: "BREAK SOMEONES LEGS!", no. Its football, its happened before and it will sure happen again, you cant go pointing the finger at the player.

Just because he broke Alonso's legs, does that make him any of a lesser player. Does that mean hes not runner up in footballer of the year this year? No, hes a quallity player and because he did something like that, by accident does not make him any lesser of a player.
