Thats true. But my logic is a online multiplayer shooter will have more longevity in it, than a single player game like Watch Dogs. So I dont mind buying BF on release. But single player games I usually wait for the performance issues to be ironed out first.

I should have done the same with this.

Yeah I agree. I don't see the point in pre ordering digital games these days. Always wait for reviews and info about performance now.
 
Haven't been able to play this game for more than 40 minutes since launch (through multiple driver versions and updates). Shocking stability issues that it seems a LOT of people are getting and Ubisoft don't seem to be .... doing anything about?

No they released a patch.........oh wait it did nothing for any of my problems but on a plus note they said its more of a pre-patch-patch :mad:
 
I have just been playing this on PS4 and tbh it looks every bit as good as the PC without the unofficial mod. It also runs perfectly smooth.

Just like Assassins creed Black flag did the same.

Ubi are really trying hard to keep the games equal or nerfing pc releases to promote consoles as there is no way this game should be a challenge on a current decent spec Pc.

They should be strung up for that though, i find it a total disgrace when they limit the pc version.

Indeed, it's not acceptable in any other software based industry and it certainly shouldn't be acceptable here. Well, one thing is for certain - I will definitely not be buying AC: Unity nor Far Cry 4 given Ubisoft's exposed attitude in the past few weeks.

same thing for MMOs, I tend to wait a couple of months before i decide
I did the main missions on WD but will wait for them to fix some problems & hopefully unlock the E3 settings before i do all the side missions
 
Do we know if they are actually working on another patch?

Game is a right mess at the moment. Awfull. Stutter, crash, textture corruption, freezes etc...

Nvidia beta drivers are in disarray in this game too.
 
I guess the people who are having troubles are trying to run the game with fps unlocked? Its clear the game is optimized for 30fps because of consoles, why not just run it at 30fps and enjoy the game?
 
I get terrible stutter whilst driving. *Maybe* Im runing out of vram?

I used the optimised Nvidia settings from the Nvidia website. Recommend bascially all as maxed as it goes, with high textures and temporall SMAA.

Awful!

Was getting texture corruption and someone said try reduceing AA to SMAA which is what I'll try next. But maybe the stutter is just running out of vram?

Tempted just to put the game on auto settings.... but then the whole point of me getting it, was to see what all the fuss was about with the graphics. :rolleyes:

The game is in a terrible state. And probably could have done with another 6 months in development!
