Weekend Football Thread **Spoilers**

Where have people got the impression it was a head injury?

Ballacks arm hit Evra's chest. Evra decided to roll around on the floor and hold his face...

Also going to put it out there and say he's one of the most overrated left backs in the world. Yes he's won the league 3 times in a row but Paulo Ferreria won it twice in a row...

You talk some utter utter testicles at times Gustov. Even the most died in the wool Chelsea fan could see his Elbow hit im in the face and with intent.

Also why quote Ferreira when predominantly he is a right back.

play should never be stopped by a referee for anything other than a head injury, anything else play resumes until the ball goes out of play, thats the game. Also if we stop the game for all the serious looking injurys were gonna see too many cheats in the game.

dislocated shoulder is a painful injury but he should have gotten up and headed for the sidelines, you don't need a shoulder to walk, and the longer he lies there the longer he has to wait for treatment, stopping the game was another bad decision by the ref.

There was no injury, be it head, face or chest.
If it had been Drogba rolling about people would've said he got what he deserved (quite rightly) so the same applies to Evra.
He feigned injury and his team paid the price for it, tough:)

That's rubbish, you only have to see Evra's miraculous recovery for proof he wasn't hurt at all.

Did Ballack Elbow him ??? Yes there is no doubt about it.

Since when does someone have to have their nose smashed or there eye socket shattered for it to start warranting a booking. As our resident FA expert Young BaZ would tell us, it's the intent that counts and again that is not in doubt

If it would have been Rooney on Ashley Cole then im sure the footballing world would want Rooney to be banned and rightly so. Although some would probably give him a medal ;)

There's no doubt Ballack elbowed him, in the chest.
He feigend a face injury just to either get Ballack booked or make sure he gets a free kick, either of which is cheating as far as I'm concerned and you'll know I feel the same when a Chelsea player does it.
If it was Drogba I'd be embarrased by it and often am unfortunately, shame some Man.U. fans refuse to see what actually happened.

Post of the thread!

It was never a foul, Evra ran in to Ballack, yes he had his elbow up (chest high) but all he did was stand his ground.

The ref wouldn't of given the foul anyway (not that it was) because Rooney had the ball and had clear advantage, also note, Rooney had no intention of playing the return pass anyway, he had turned away with the ball even before Evra ran into Ballack.

Evra ran into Ballack? Yeah course he did. Watch it again and it's as clear as day that Ballack moved his body to block Evra and stuck his elbow in for good measure

EDIT: Watch it again and open your eyes this time

Seemed to me a combination of sternum & jaw, obviously not flat in the face as Evra was implying but I dont doubt being twated anywhere by a massive great big German it's going to sting a bit

As a neutral spectator that wanted to watch a good football match earlier i can't help but feel disgusted by the displays some of these "footballers" give, disgracful the way they go down...half the time with no other players around them only to lift there head, look round and get up feelign silly (this happened about 3 times during that match), as well as the constantly grabbing there faces as if someone has hit them when they clearly haven't (drogba near the start springs to mind, he did it twice in a row in quick succession, neither time did anyone go near hitting him in the face)

think i'll stick to watching proper football

Sorry, but United were given the advantage in an attacking period of the game which quickly turned into a Chelsea counter attack.

Played by the rules.

Of which there was no advantage, Evra played the ball to Rooney who turned his back at the point of impact, the only other touch by a United player was Carrick mis controlled stab forward due to the pressure put on him from near by Chelsea players

No advantage there whatsoever
