I can see why people would use that argument, sure. To them I'd say watch him Make up your mind from what he can do on a field, not that Spain have got a copious amount of phenomenal midfielders!
I also think we'll see at the World Cup that Fabregas isn't second choice anymore, he was sub/started a few of the early Euro 2008 games and he was that good when he did make his cameo appearances that by the final he was in the starting line-up, pretty sure that hasn't changed. You have to make space for players like him
