What film did you watch last night?

Man of Steel - 7/10

Too long for the amount of content, was very slow paced and a lot of story building..but then the final 20 minutes was endless building destruction which seemed just OTT.

Zod could have done with more screen time. His 2nd in command seemed to hog it all.

I just didn't enjoy it at all.

Don't be offended by someone having a different opinion to yourself. If you enjoyed a particular film then that's fine, score it to what you think it should be. What one person enjoys another might not, it's as simple as that.

The Hunt

Not really sure how to score this one. Danish film about a nursery teacher wrongly accused of abusing children in his care. Really uncomfortable to watch, yet highly believable and well acted. I didnt enjoy the experience, yet I learned from it.

A confused 7/10

Shakespeare in Love (seen this before)

One of the best movie I have ever seen in my life. Lots of references to shakespeare and its Elizabethan era. Brillant script and to bring out a "fake" albeit terrific story on how Romeo and Juliet come about is just a stroke of genius.

Love the music too.

10/10

I really do love it.

I was watching a bit of that on Sunday night, so incoherent and flat out awful. We were basically making it up as we were going along to work out what was going on!

A close to a 0/10 film as it can possibly get.

I didn't mind Skyline up until the ending. Several scenes (e.g. where the people are being taken up to the ships, some of the ground troops etc) were quite good. The end earned a full on WTF?! though. :D

Olympus has Fallen - Very predictable, 5/10
The Incredible Burt Wonderstone - Was it a comedy? 4/10
Broken City - Kept my interest and had a few twists that you could see a mile off. All been done before. 6/10

Watched these on the flight home yesterday. Slim pickings indeed!!
Glad I had Breaking Bad to watch also :D

Cloud Atlas - Honestly I really have no idea if I enjoyed it or not. I couldn't say if there was a message in the film trying to get out or if its just too clever for its own good.

I'll go 6/10 for now and will have to watch it again I think.

I watched 42 and thought it was a strong film. Not a baseball fan but I had no problem enjoying the film. In fact I think I actually like Baseball now after watching it.
