What film did you watch last night?

The Iceman

Very good movie. The ending could have been better.

7.5/10

Wolverine

Expected a lot more from this. Was kinda dissapointed with this. At times i felt bored.

5/10

Lone Ranger - Have to say I really enjoyed it and glad I went to watch it. It's never going to win an oscar, but it's quite fun, I don't think it deserves the complete trashing it's had.

I'm giving it 7.5/10, nope 8/10 as I still have the theme tune in my head!

Also saw Man Of Tai Chi

Keanu Reeves puts on his best stone face (there is one :p) so ignore that I suppose because the fight choreography is excellent and the floating camera dolly he used to shoot them nice as well. Tai Chi is beautiful to watch as well. One for martial arts fans.

A fitting comment from a youtube poster:

"If this man went for a swim in the ocean, sharks would swim away from him leaving trails of !%^D (aka poo)."

Will defo grab this movie

Trialling NowTV for a free month, so...
1) John carter: 6/10, glad I wasn't paying to see a fairly formulaic & uninspiring rendition of the world I read about as a kid, a long time ago.

2) Skyfall: 7/10, I want to praise it for being a brave and more thoughtful project, with a few of the usual deft touches you expect. But the villain turn too cartoon and eventually I was sitting waiting for the end, which never seemed to come. I'm still waiting to be as wowed as I was by Casino Royale.

American Pie: Book of Love

Lots of topless ladies in this film.

That's about the only redeeming feature I can think of. That's 2 hours of my life I can never get back.

500 Days of Summer. I've seen it once before. It's very good. It's genuinely romantic, which is rare. The soundtrack is awesome. It reminds me of High Fidelity in many ways.

Absolutely agree. A few years ago my missus and her friend made me sit down and watch this one night and I immediately dismissed it as yet another boring 'chick flick'. Until I watched it.

How wrong I was, it's about as perfect as a movie gets. I was completely enthralled by it and as you already pointed out, the soundtrack is crammed full of awesome music.

It's in my top 5 movies, I happily give it 10/10. :D
