Just watched R.I.P.D....6/10

Enjoyed it well enough. Was it basically men in black with a different spin? yeah it was. But i also enjoyed the original MiB =]

Rush 9/10

Awesome, the noise is top notch, great pacing and the racing scenes cracking. Was feeling properly queezy at hospital scene.

Just came back from the cinema after watching and I was enjoying it until the crash / hospital scene too, made me really uncomfortable.

However, One of my friends collapsed completely out of the blue and started making a gargling choking noise when they were shoving the metal pipe down his throat, which was a horrible thing to see, so he had a visit from some very nice paramedics. I suppose he took it really personally because he's a racing driver himself and it really upset him. (He cried when watching senna too) unfortunately, he's fine and we still have to deal with the bugger

Oh well from the part we saw we enjoyed it loads though, and we got some free guest passes anyway

Come Out And Play (2013)

A remake, horror. I haven't seen the original but I thought I'd give it a go considering the reviews were so-so and I like to watch unpopular flicks. I'm glad I did, slow paced but made a nice change to the generic horrors that are being released these days. I won't talk too much about it as it's best to go in without knowing anything. Recommended.

Bladerunner The final cut ( 2007 ). 10/10.

My god Sean Young was absolutely stunning back in the day, i can't imagine any body else fitting the part of Rachel so well, inspired casting, not just for her but the entire cast, if only the cretinous studio execs had just kept there noses out & not insisted on the naff voice over & happy ever after ending, i can't help but think that Bladerunner wouldve been much better received when it was first released.

I watched Hackers and The Terminal over the last few days (whilst frantically painting).

Hackers I would give about 5 or 6 out of 10.
It was ok, but little more than a time filler (well there were a couple of highlights

), but generally it just seemed a by the book plot with computers rather than a haunted house

The Terminal I would give about a 7/10, largely for Tom Hank's performance and the ensemble cast, which worked quite well with the story.

Casino.

I'm really not sure about it. Parts of it made me acutely uncomfortable, yet I enjoyed it overall. The boat load of crazy that Sharon Stone managed to conjure up as Ginger reminded me of things I'd rather stayed forgotten. I suppose the fact that it was able to touch those nerves so well is testament to the film's quality, and I honestly did not see the little twist coming. Although it was a good story it lacked a certain punch that I've noticed in similar films, so it pains me to repeat something I've heard so many times, but it's no Goodfellas.

Europa Report - 6/10

It's a 'found footage' story of the first manned expedition to Europa. Considering it's a low budget movie, it has a pretty decent cast (including Sharlto Copley and Michael Nyqvist) who do a good job. The effects (what little there are considering 90% of it is set inside the ship) are quite convincing too. All things considered, not a bad waste of 90 minutes.

Hangover Part III - 7/10

OK, so it's all in the same line as the other two but still a few laughs and worthy of killing a couple of hours in an evening.
Someone said the funniest part is the clip during the end credits, they weren't wrong!

Very few things are as good as Goodfellas. It's pretty much the best organised crime film going. There's an argument to be made for The Godfather, but I didn't like it, so I'm sticking with Goodfellas.

Although Casino does beat Goodfellas in the uses of the F word stakes!

Truth or dare

A group of students looking for a party get more than they bargained for, in this British horror from director Robert Heath. When University students decide to stage an end of year party, Felix (Tom Kane) is picked on and abused in a game of Truth or Dare by some of his peers. Six months later, his 'friends' receive an invitation to Felix's birthday party at his wealthy family's country estate. Arriving at a remote cabin in the woods, the group are welcomed by Felix's brother, Justin (David Oakes), who explains that the party has had to be cancelled, but that they are welcome to stay the night. What they don't realise, however, is that Justin is out for revenge, and that they are about to play another game of Truth or Dare, but this time with their lives forfeit.

Mehhhh story line, mehhhh acting. If you have nothing else to watch and have nothing else to do, it might kill some time, before killing you.

Have to agree with that. Goodfellas is one of my all time favourites.
