What film did you watch last night?

The Train. With Burt Lancaster in it. Saw some of it on TV a while ago and quite liked the idea of the film. Got it cheap the other day.

Pretty good film. :)

I've watched it a recently. It's one of the better WW2 films and nicely done in black and white.

Yep. There are the obvious WW2 films in both colour and black and white. The Train is probably one of the more obscure ones; but this doesn't affect its quality at all.

I like how the bombing of the rail yard was arranged with the French railway who wanted to demolish the site but couldn't afford it. So they let Frankenheimer blow it up for them. :D

I loved it, EASILY his best film of recent times. Think Zooey Deschanel has a lot to do with it, I could watch her allll day.

For some reason she really irritates me. Hitchikers' Guide was on the other night and she annoyed me then too, so I don't think that it's a one off.

I've come to the conclusion that it's probably because she's actually a pretty poor actor.

The Taking of Pelham 123 - pointless film, nothing happens.

You're sat waiting for a twist, a funny angle, anything...but it just doesn't come, I can't even bring myself to give this a score out of 10.

Duplicity on Saturday night - seen it before, pretty good film

Street Kings - Better than I thought it would be, Keanu reeves actually showed some emotion in it as well..

The Collector :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Makers of Saw and a pretty disturbing movie.

Forget the little plotholes ie How did the Collector have time to wire everything? What exactly does he collect and why? Why does our 'hero' never finish the bad guy off when he has him at a dis-advanatge (same as most horror movies though).

But **** me what a good movie; suspensful, gory and gripping. Well worth a watch.

8.5/10

Watched this to, very brutal film!

Watched The Lovely Bones last night....wish i hadn't bothered to be honest.

One of the most boring, dreary films i have ever had the displeasure to see....and the wife agreed with me.

Started watching the collector on saturday afternoon, turned it off half way through as i had seen it all before in the Saw (and it scared me a bit :p)

The lovely Bones - 2/10

The collector - 4/10 (for the half that i saw)

I watched The Lovely Bones. It was pretty crap; I didn't feel much of a connection with the characters which kind of ruins this sort of film. 4/10

Kingdom of Heaven directors cut on Blu-ray

didnt realise at firs that it is about 50 minutes longer than the theatrical release (i think). Still enjoyed it! Much better than some of the nonsense in the same genre

8/10

Well had my first Blue Ray experience with a mate who bought round

WallE and Machine Girl

WallE was amazing in Blue Ray :o was annoying as in my head I was trying to spot differences from BR to DVD WallE everything was just clear and sharp and textures were outstanding though i did find when WallE was out in the open world the Sun was too bright I found (probs just me)

Machine Girl - my mate got it for his b-day VERY random Jap film but the actress was very hot :)

Still waiting for my copy of Band of Brothers on Blue Ray!!!! dam stock!!!

Snatch.

Brilliant. I've seen this film too many times :)

Brick Top: You're always gonna have problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together.
Sol: Would someone mind telling me, who are you?
Brick Top: And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a ****head. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig ****, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".
