What film did you watch last night?

How to train your dragon 2. Great film, why can't everyone get it right like this? Honestly 9/10 from me, loved it.

Jodorowsky's Dune - 9/10

A great documentary. Show's the failure of his (never made) Dune film with some impressive creativity.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1935156/

In 1974, cult film director Alejandro Jodorowsky attempted to create a big-screen adaptation of Frank Herbert's seminal science fiction novel "Dune." While the ambitious production collapsed after two years, Jodorowsky's team of then relatively unknown concept artists continued exploring the themes and styles started on the project and ended up changing modern science fiction forever.

Without him - Giger, O'Bannon & Foss would never have met = no Alien films. Interesting to see how all the studio's copied certain bits of the script in films like Terminator.

Watched 47 Ronin last night. Probably about a 6/10. Wasn't bad but wasn't great either. One of those films I don't really feel the urge to watch again.

Homefront

Quite like Jason Statham films but this one failed to deliver much. It had it's moments but it wasn't one of his better films.

Kill Bill

I still don't get why I gave up the first time I watched this. This was my second full viewing, and still love it.

7/10

Wayne's World

Neither it (nor Tia) have aged well, but still got some chuckles from me.

6/10

How to Train your Dragon 2 - 8.5 / 10

Excellent! If you liked the first one (and who doesn't?) then you will enjoy this too :)

And from a technical pov the animation is just incredible.

The first one was stunning visually, so I'm looking forward to seeing the sequel sometime.

300 Rise of an empire.

Was OK, not as good as 300 by a long shot but had some good action sequences. 6/10 with a + for the boobies scene.

Ted - Unrated version

Only ever saw the theatrical release (which I loved), and it is just as funny the second time around, and some of the cut scenes are hilarious :D

Pacific Rim. Better than I expected. It's really stupid, but it goes with it and it's really well made, so it works. The scientists were a bit tiresome at points and I felt it was a little bi too long, but overall I'd recommend it.

It's certainly miles better than the Transformers films.

I was expecting Pacific Rim (PR) to be bad.
I expected it to be similar to Transformers (which were dire).
But I actually enjoyed PR, especially the big fight scene in the middle of the movie.
That big fight was reminiscent of a Rocky movie.

Transcendence 7/10
I watched it without seeing the trailer which apparently spoils the plot a lot.

It's getting a lot of hate because no side is presented as the bad guys and it's up to the viewer to form there own opinion which seems to leave a lot of people confused... but you're not supposed to know whether the intelligence is evil or not until the very end it's how the director wanted it to be

24 Live Another Day Ep 8 and 9. Gonna watch Ep 10 tonight. I love playing catch up after a break. But it sucks that I will have to watch them weekly now!

Machine Gun Preacher:
9/10

Ignore the title as I did. Superb film based on true story. Harrowing at times, Gerard Butler is superlative.
