The Avengers
Only 2 years late, but bloody hell that was brilliant! Oozed Whedon, got more laughs out of me than most dedicated comedies. My only real gripes is that Smulders makes a crap Hill, and that it is a shame Norton wasn't Banner (new guy isn't Banner-like at all, he seemed to be channeling Leonard from Big Bang).
9/10
Ruffalo is fantastic as Banner.
Mr Peabody and Sherman...
9/10 Superb film.
Expendables 3. 8/10.
On par with the second but not as good as the first.
I thought this comes out on the 13th or 14th
People in pirating awful films shocker.
I guess at least that way it's easier to keep a straight face when you're saying you wouldn't have paid to see it anyway.
I agree with you here, I booked online for 18 people friends and family, got all the seats together but got there and other people had taken the seats,Taking about pirating films - I *tried* to watch Hercules in Swindon last night. It was a fairly busy screening (say 3/4 full) with people talking on phones, eating from loud food packets, talking, really bad smell of BO from the group infront of us and a mouth breather sat right behind me, so pretty standard for Swindon but 1/2 way through an actual fight started between a group of chavs at the front and the police had to be called so we never got to see the end (got a refund). So £25 wasted on a crap evening in a cinema or D/L Expendables 3 and watch it it the comfort of your own home for free without any of the hassle.
I can easily see why people pirate!
PS Hercules - 5/10 for the first hour - I like how they took "the legend" and redefined into what is probably more accurate. The acting was passable and the action scenes that I saw were impressive but relatively small scale. I really liked Rufus Sewell's character but the girl and the madman were a bit wasted I thought. Overall I enjoyed it enough to try and see it again but this time at 10am on a Tuesday etc to avoid the scum in Swindon.
