What film did you watch last night?

The Guest.

Either one of the most clichéd, poorly acted, directed and written films in a long time OR an exercise in the perfection of Irony.

When he 'died' at the end, by the knife he gave the boy, at the high school dance, enveloped in mist from the dry ice BY THE GRAVESTONES!!.....and then gave the boy the thumbs up!!! My GF and I literally laughed out loud :D

and also

"Sorry Both your parents have been killed" (looks back to the road and carries on driving) LOL

Either 3/10 OR 9/10 I've still not yet decided lol

You took it very much the right way if you laughed. It's a pure 9/10. :D

Man of thai chi

Keanu Reeves did well with this i thought.
He's said he's a kung fu nut and it seeps through in this film.
All of the fighting is brilliantly shot without all the camera shaking nonsense.
I personally really liked it, not the greatest for most people, but i personally enjoyed it

6.8/10
8/10 for me

the act of killing

the most powerful documentary ive ever seen. maybe ever made ? its both unbelivable and real at the same time. total madness. a one of a kind

look forward to seeing the sequel which has been getting rave reviews at the festivals , supposed to be the film he set out to make before this one 'happened'

The Inbetweeners 2. 4/10 complete crap. way worse than the first.

Me and the Gf, saw it and thought it was hilarious, much better than the first. We wondered if it helped that we had both been to Oz and both stayed in the Arts Factory. :)
Me too ! Really good movie, much better than expected.

p.s. how on earth did he first woo his wife ?!

Can't be that hard, she dated Craig David for a month. :)

Before I go to sleep. Knew I was in for a rough night when I saw the number of women in the cinema (what is it with them insisting on sitting directly in front of/next to other people in a barely 1/4 full cinema!). Awful film, could have telegraphed the "twist", and it's the last time my gf picks a film for us to see, 1/10.

Lucy: I'm still not sure what to think over all. Went a wee bit mental towards the end but up to the last 10 min I was really enjoying it, the final act really threw me and has left me undecided.

There's a bit on the Extras on my DVD of Speed that shows how they Jumped the bus...

It's quite interesting, No special CGI effects, all done 'In Camera' by jumping the bus on a flat bit of road (under the Freeway they were filming on) an Extra special harness for the driver (to protect his spine from the landing of a 9 tonne bus) and one severely mangled up Bus after! :D

Yeah the Man of Tai chi was surprisingly good 8/10, when i first watched it i didnt know KR was in it and dreaded it when i saw him but overally he did a surprisingly good job considering he directed it as well.

If you like that type of movie another good gem is The Raid 2, nothing beats a babe with a pair of clawhammers :D

Ha! I thought the same. It must have been when he was the young, cool up and coming kitchen artiste lol. Still, to pull SJ like he did blew my mind as well.

Locke.

How the hell did this get 86% on rotten tomatoes?

It's classed as a thriller but nothing thrilling happens and it's no way an "edge of seat film" it's a bloke in a car!?

Just seen Lucy.

Those that liked Limitless will like this. Plus SJ is in it, bonus :p

The rationality of the plot is bonkers but it provides some cool visuals and was pretty cool throughout.
Was that the Multiverse theory they stuck with toward the end as the singularity came to be?
