What film did you watch last night?

How many of you have seen Nightcrawler. My closest cinema showing it is over an hour away :(

Vue really need to sort their films out, they didn't show Place Beyond the Pines or Drive in my nearest cinema either.

I saw it last night. I'm not sure I would've driven for an hour to see it to be honest. Gyllenhaal was superb but the rest left a bit to be desired. Still a good watch

Cabin In The Woods

It was ok, but many people made it sound amazing. I liked the concept, and the stoner dude, but overall a bit meh, with some dodgy CGI near the end.

6/10

TMNT (2104)

Better than I thought it would be and I'm glad they didn't go with the turtles are aliens plotline (That's not a spoiler).
Good fun, though not awesome IMO, but I did like the characterization and dialogue for the turtles. They nailed that.

Edge of Tomorrow - 7/10.

Let down by a serious cop out ending with new reset rules being introduced.

Anyone care to explain the ending on why the Omega/Aliens were not reset too? My 8 year old lad threw his hands in the air (very dramatic!) stating that it does not make sense that the aliens did not reset too

Rise of the planet of the apes - 8/10

Such a good film, other than my own personal taste in not liking how they did the plot twists it's a brilliant film.

Dawn of The Planet Of Apes - 8/10

Yes, some, just some CGI is still not perfect and will age badly, but I have to say, I'm still shocked by just how good this movie was. Such a far cry from original franchise it's almost a shame that the two are related.

You can google it mate, but cruise kinda gets his mojo back after the end of whatever the omega had going on.

Just before he was about to pop it again.... sooooo

Have to admit it felt a little flat when it ended for me, next night headed to imdb and discoverd why i should have liked it more than i initialy did.

I did google it and was met with lots of opinions, but it would be interesting to hear the movie makers stance on this.

Going by the rules set by the movie itself, I still think that ANY reset, whether done by Cage or the Omega would result in both been reset, yet even though Cage was reset further (last death) the aliens are defeated due to him blowing up the Omega in Paris, in the future; this does not compute with me.

This is my favourite film of all time.
The shots of the sun are amazing, when they have just black space and then cut to the sun it's such a simple but effective technique

It's definitely up there, just a shame the last third goes all weird. Still absolutely stunning though. Really want to get the blu-ray, as I've been really wanting to hear Brian Cox's commentary. But I don't have a blu-ray player.
