What film did you watch last night?

I noticed Joanna. Which sausage was that?

When they were filming that scene around the table, where Bond is wearing the kilt, when she writes her number on his leg under the table the story is that her reaction is due to Lazenby Sellotaping a large salami to his thigh during filming. :D

The scenes around the table with the girls. The boys in the crew were practical jokers and they wanted to have a bit of fun. The scene had me talking to the girls above the table and after a while the camera pans under the table to show one of the girls writing her number on my leg. The guys had this huge German sausage that they’d had in hot water for a while and they said, “Can we tape this to your leg?” I said, “Sure, go ahead.” When the actress went down to write her number on my leg they expected her to scream. But she didn’t bat an eyelid. The guys were scratching their heads but I talked to her afterwards and she said [whispering], “You didn’t have any pants on under that kilt!”

Rainman 10/10

It must have been at least 15 years since I last watched this. A brilliant film and an outstanding performance by Hoffman.

I've managed to watch two films at completely the opposite end of the spectrum.

First up, was "Zombie Hunter", which I'd give a fairly generous 3 or 4 out of 10, it had pretty much all the stereotypes for zombie type films, and as an added bonus a fairly poor CGI creature that I'm pretty sure was ripped from something like Doom 3.
I now know why it was 99p for the blu-ray....

On the other hand I also watched the rather brilliant "Spirited Away", which I think is worth an easy 8, possibly 9 out of 10.
It looks lovely in HD, with a nice story, great visuals (as usual for a Ghibli), and a typically good soundtrack from Joe Hisaishi.

Samsara. Beautifully shot and an clever edit/commentary about the cycle of life and the hideousness, bizarreness and beauty of the human race. I didn't pay it my full attention and was disappointed that the subs didn't say where the location was (as per the copy of Baraka that I have does). 8/10,not quite as good as Baraka in my opinion.

Maze Runner - worth a watch but got the impression that its going to go all hunger games and start churning out sequels every christmas for the next 3 years.

Red Cliff 1 & 2
Brilliant movies. Enjoyed both movies. Might sit down and watch them again soon. 8/10

I might do the same soon now you've reminded me, I missed some of the beginning of the first last time so want to watch again. Cracking films.

I got around to watching 2001: A Space Odyssey the other day after the discussion in this thread suggested it had aged well. It was my first time watching it, and boy has it aged badly.

Some parts are still great, but dear lord is it slow, so much time with nothing happening at all.
