What film did you watch last night?

Watched this last night and agree with you. Best film I've seen in a long time.

watched it too, very good (7/10), however I spent ages trying to work out who the actress was from........then it came to me in a flash!

Chalet Girl

now there's an awesome film (male rating 1/10, metrosexual ski season addict rating 10/10) :D :D

Nightcrawler - 10/10. I'm still amazed those idi*ts at the Academy didn't nominate Jake for Oscar. Unbelievable.

Preparing for Birdman tonight! It's gonna be awesome!

Unbroken, a likeable movie based on a true story which always seems to engage me more - based on an olympic athlete who becomes a world war two bomber then various stuff happens to him and it becomes a test of resolve, nerve and courage etc..(without giving anything away) - chariots of fire meets memphis belle meets colditz/bridge of the river kwai :p

7/10

John Wick - decent enough, certainly action packed with some nice elements which I appreciated - the hotel and coin scheme - if you go into this without expecting amazing cinematography, outstanding acting or a complex plot you will be happy enough with the spectacle that presents itself on the screen. Worthy of hangover distraction.

6/10

Blue Ruin.

It's about a man whose parents were killed when he was younger and the man who killed them is released early in the present day. It follows his trials as a homeless man wanting to avenge his parents but he soon realises it's not so easy as other conflicts are thrown into the mix.

A good balance of drama and violence, the violence is pretty gritty too, the camera doesn't shy away from showing a man get his face blown off by a rifle round in one scene...

The trailer pulled my interest and the film delivered good drama. I'd give it 7/10 as a genuinely decent film with a relatively unknown cast.

John Wick - 7/10

Hadn't seen Keanu in anything for a long while so thought I would give this a go. Nice concept and idea to the storyline, and some of the set fight scenes were good. I would have liked maybe some Banshee style fight scenes and better camera angles, but it is what it is. Also would have thought being such a legend he wouldnt have been so rusty with hand to hand combat.

Beverly Hills Cop - Bit of a blast from the past, but I never did get round to watching this back in the 80s/90s.... Felt like it was a bit of an old cult classic so gave it a watch. Alright film for its time. Typical action/ comedy with a funky 80s soundtrack. 6/10

I felt the same about the hand to hand combat. However, if he was playing Unreal Tournament he would be Unnnnnnnnnnnstoooooooooopable. #headshot

I quite liked the fact that he wasn't a completely unstoppable killing machine ala Arnie or something.

Just watched Fury. Awful war film! Did it even have a director? Most of the infantry extras were just standing around looking useless throughout most of the film. Bad characters; laughable plot.

The battle with the Tiger tank was mildly interesting but that's about it.
