In preparation of Furious 7 watched the first two Fast and Furious films. Still awesome popcorn/ place brain in neutral films, love them. Was the first time other half had seen them and she was questioning some of the action scenes, hmm... Wait till we watch 4, 5 & 6 ;) :D

The Theory Of Everything - 9/10

Fantastic acting well deserved Oscar, you wouldn't of thought it was an actor doing Stephen Hawking he looks and plays him so well, the mrs loved it too.

Hey, 2 Broke Girls is an excellent show.
Short, sharp and light-hearted.
But I get what you mean, though.

Check this out:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2322441/ratings?ref_=tt_ov_rt

On average, males rate the movie 3/10.

2 broke girls is basically the same as any of the pre-pubescent teen girl shows that my 9 year old daughter watches - Sam and Kat, Victorious etc.. but with a slightly more mature theme and dialogue but somehow even more annoying.

To make the commute better, I tend to download films, including those which I have never heard of!

Mystery Road is one of them, a slow burning thriller set in the Australian Outback - Crikey talk about bleak! It’s not Australia you typically associate with!

The film is undeniably, a slow burning thriller; (personally I thought it was excellent, albeit it is not for everyone. I found it highly enjoyable. For action, avoid, there is very little, however, if you like films that build up a culminate ending (akin to The American) its well worth a watch.

Anorak moment, the main protagonist drives a cool car (Holden Commodore). The film is available on iPlayer = 8/10.

The Mechanic - 4/10. I would have given it 5/10 but I am deducting a point because they completely messed up when they were talking about what medicine to use to kill someone and it just smacked of poor research.

Interstellar - 6/10

It was an 8/10, but the last 15 mins lost 2 points from me

I'm having a hard time understanding the ending

The daughter had a big argument with her brother, he was really angry. In order to gain entry into the house, she set the field on fire. This made him even more angry. When he came back, she gave him and smile and a cuddle and everything was ok

Matthew McConaughey can drift through a black hole and survive

How did he end up in the wormhole? chance?

Who found him in the wormhole and transported him to the station near Saturn? Assume future humans built the wormhole, and not the people who worked with his daughter

What was the morse code he put into the watch? It seemed to enable his daughter to invent something. What it the gravity equation so they could move the station thus transporting everyone off the earth? I'm sure he said it was coordinates for something, and something about finding it out when he went through the blackhole as this was the whole problem why Michael Cain couldn't work it out

It was very late when I started watching it :D

The Next Three Days.
A married couple's life is turned upside down when the wife is accused of a murder. With Russell Crowe & Elizabeth Banks
Not what I was expecting really, it was a surprisingly good film.
7/10

Can anyone recommend a good film like House of flying daggers, Crouching Tiger etc...
I love all those types of films.
Just noticed this on wiki:
it was announced that this sequel (C.T.H.D.)will be released simultaneously on Netflix and select IMAX theatres on August 28, 2015.

Seen Hero, 47 Ronin, and Kungfu Hustle - I liked them all.
Kunfu hustle is so funny, nearly wet myself laughing where he throws the knives and the person asks who's throwing handles !

Withnail and I

I had never heard of this film despite being a pretty big film buff. I was catching up with a friend last week and we were talking about best films etc. This is when he came up with this! I was a bit taken back and said what the hell is that; as he went on to rave about it saying it was his favourite film of all time.... Well I watched it - all I can say is, I don't get it...the whole premise of the film was pointless and it just seemed like 2 hours of nonsense plot with no real purpose. This film got 7.8 on imdb with many many amazing reviews. Never been so confused about people's perception of a film.

Acting was good. Everything else was terrible. 4/10.

Kung Fu Hustle is epic.
I wasn't expecting much from it but gave it 9/10. I love it when he becomes the ultimate fighter.

If you like Kung Fu Hustle, try also Shaolin Soccer - again, very funny.

Oh, and these recommendations come from someone who HATES subtitles.

Return of the King - 10/10

Absolutely fantastic. It's the second time I've watched the movies through (It's seriously taken me well over a year though, I watched Fellowship for the second time Christmas 2013!) and my only regret is that I never got to experience them in the cinema when they were released. I want to watch the extended editions but I don't think I could do that for a while, over three hours is heavy enough.

It got me thinking about the Hobbit movies too. It made me realise that I don't really care for the battle scenes all that much. The visuals of the armies gathering and marching is fantastic but the battles themselves aren't that interesting. The downtime in between and the sense of adventure is what really captures my imagination, which is why I'd consider the 3rd Hobbit film the weakest as it's basically just battle scenes for most of the film.

Seen Shaolin Soccer also.

I used to love all the old Jackie Chan films - police story, the armour of god etc. so anything similar would be good.

I actually quite like subtitles in films - I seem to get sucked into the film more.
