What film did you watch last night?

The best thing about Pacific Rim is the sheer scale and weight of things. Everything is massive and slow and powerful and hefty. The fight scenes are something that Transformers can only dream of.

Thats exactly what I was thinking.
The bots in Transformers felt very light-weight.
The bots in Pacific Rim felt and looked huge and heavy.
When you watch Pacific Rim using a good sound system, you get the full benefit.

I love the idea of movies like Pacific Rim but think it gets a 7 at best. I don't see how people can rate it a 9 just because its a movie about robots vs monsters and is supposed to be stupid, if it didn't have the scientists that's a +1 from me, if it had daylight battles another +1. The idea was great but the execution could have been better in places.

The Angriest Man In Brooklyn - 7/10

Enjoyed it, funny in places and its Robin Williams last ever performance, never seen him act like that before and it's refreshing to see, the character he portrays makes you think maybe he was really like that in real life before his ultimate demise via suicide.

You should try "one hour photo". Great film and a great performance from Robin. "agfa montage" is a pretty nice soundtrack as well.

I'll watch anything - I think Prometheus is watchable so that saying something .

However, Skyline is probably in my top 3 worst films ever.

Focus

Saw whilst in Cape Town. Margot is SO freaking hot!
Nice film, with that fun Oceans Eleven vibe.
Good twists within twists, which I called Con-ception :D

7/10

Seventh Son - 5/10

I love fantasy fiction and saw the name Julianne Moore on this one so got my hopes up. I should have looked at imdB first as it's pretty much a TV movie. In recent years you see Moore's name and you automatically think Oscars, this movie is more Legend of the seeker TV show than Oscar.
