What film did you watch last night?

San Andreas. 7/10 as I really got to put my new home cinema through its paces with it. I can imagine on a small screen it would be a 6 at best as the script is utterly predictable.

I've finally done it, Cineworld Unlimited card ordered for me and the gf. More than worth it as I love going to the cinema and I'll easily make the money "back".

Bit disappointing that there is a small uplift for 3d, usually a quid or two but after a year you get upgraded to Unlimited Premium where all 3d viewings are free.

We've had ours a year and after 12 months you get the 3D for no extra charge and 25% off food and drink.

Prepare to see loads of films that you'd normally never bother with at the cinema just because you can.

Watched The Walk last night, perfect example of a film i'd never pay for but watched because I was on unlimited. I had sweaty palms during the entire tight rope sequence across the twin towers and the 3D was used to excellent effect, really felt like you were up there. 7.5/10

The Martian.

Very good film, although it's very different, I can't help but compare it with Interstellar.

Visuals were great, can't help but fall more in love with Matt Damon :p

Will be buying this on blu-ray

7.2/10

The Walk.

2/10. Absolute snooze fest. The 3D bits were done ok which saved it from getting a lower score.

Not a film as such, but was the documentary about the Navy Seals on Netflix.

Pretty good if you are into Military stuff, goes back to WW2 and the part the forefather of the Seals played in the D-day landings, something I never knew.

Goes on upto the current Afganistan/Iraq stuff, has interviews with past Seals and show some pretty good footage during the Vietnam War about their activities.

I have 2 questions.

How did you come to a 0.2 score and;

If 7.2 is very good and will be buying on Bluray, you must have a lot of Blurays.

7/10 or 8/10 are too limiting :p

Many on here are too reckless with their ratings, dishing out 8's and 9's all over the place.

Yes, I own lots of blurays. :)

"Divergent". Wow. Who'd have thought you could cram so many cliches into one single movie. Even the barest hint of thought exposes plot holes of epic magnitude. The whole film had a 'painting by numbers' feel to it. The worst problem is that it all feel like The Hunger Games fan fic. In the same way that 50 Shades is the bowel movement of Twilight freak.
2.5/10 (mainly for the cinematography).

Yup, I can appreciate that! I got used to doing stuff like that when I got my weekly pair of tickets from work. Mr Turner was a prime example. Didn't enjoy it one bit and I kind of knew that before I went in!

Just walked out of an empty cinema after watching The Martian. Was only me and my partner in there as we decided to just go in right after work.

Brilliant film, had me hooked from Start to finish. Enjoyed it enough that I think I'll read the book now

Faster 7.5/10

Great acting from The Rock, storyline was mediocre at best but different from the usual action movies. Also a great classic car is used which is always a bonus.

I rate this film as well. Simple storyline with great pace. Great soundtrack also.

Legend. 6/10

Was alright and Tom Hardy was brilliant contrasting the two brothers. Was entertained throughout and was never bored. Kinda like Goodfellas but set in London...and not as good, obviously.
