What film did you watch last night?

Still allowing discussion of films not yet released in the United Kingdom :(.

NO discussion of movies or tv shows that haven't been released in the UK, if it hasn't been shown in a UK cinema or on a UK tv station, no discussion is allowed.

Link.

Why is discussing television shows not yet aired jumped all over by the moderators, but this is continually ignored?

Christmas morning: Die hard, Watched for the umpteenth time but first for the missus, she really liked it and i loved it. 9/10 classic.

Christmas evening: die hard II with the missus, she enjoyed it also and of course i loved it 8/10

In the Heart of the Sea. Starring Chris H. Emsworth. Based on the first person account that inspired the book that came after the novel.

It's the early 19th century, and whales continue their aggressive push into human territory. Just when all seems lost, the plucky crew of the Lady Mary Nancy Jane Nantucket Spring fights back in the only way they know how...

7.5/10.

Just been to see this at cinema. Felt very authentic and was paced just right for the length of film. I could easily imagine Heath Ledger playing the role of first mate that's who he reminded me of. Definitely worth a watch.

Avengers age of ultron, really enjoyed it, by far the best marvel film so far, 8/10

And Scarlet looking hot as hell as normal.

Surprised you say that - I found it pretty dull and I was on a plane.

Guardians of the Galaxy is my favourite superhero film, I can't put my finger on why... It was just really fun.

Yep,
Although it came out on Netflix Canada a few days ago, again before sky movies, it seems to happen more often than not these days. that Netflix beats sky to market in one region or another. Really should cancel sky movies well I'm on NowTV but same difference..

I was pretty meh about it on first viewing, but it was a lot more enjoyable second time round for some reason.
Still nowhere near the 10/10 that some people think it is IMO.

The bad guy is still crap and so was the way he was defeated.

Age of Ultron is okay, 7/10 kind of film. It had to do what it had to do, which is a bridge movie to set up the next phrase of the Marvel universe, Wheldon did a good job juggling so many characters and to introduce some new ones which is no easy task. The movie could have been really really bad but it passes the time.

Mission Impossible Rogue Nation. I thought it was quite enjoyable. 7/10.

"we have no choice, we must kidnap the primeminister"... Really? Do you really have no choice?
