What film did you watch last night?

White House Down. 2/10. What a steaming pile of **** that was. Every action-movie trope wheeled out one after the other. No idea how or why I made it to the end. Fingers crossed for London Has Fallen on 1st March, though.

Just watched the Theory of Everything and it's really got to me.

What a brilliant man Stephen Hawking is.

I don't doubt that it's a good film (I've not seen it) but it takes liberties with history and certainly paints him in a much more favourable light. He's a brilliantly intelligent man, but he's not really been brilliant beyond that.

About Time - 9/10

What can I say, what an adorable film. I loved it from start to finish, the wonderful characters and the chemistry between them all. The acting from the cast was spot on. Loved Bill Nighy's performance. The soundtrack, the setting, everything was great. Left me with a lump in my throat many times too.

Highly recommended.

Thanks for reminding me about this one. I watched it a few years ago and just watched it again. It's a fantastic film. Very touching and with inspired casting. It also brought a lump to my throat.

9/10

This time I watched it with my mind year old son say next to me and it was even more poignant because I had, and survived, cancer a few years ago.

Love the first two, need to watch the 3rd again as I wasn't impressed on first viewing. Only 6 or 7 years to go till the next

I watched Before Sunset and Before Midnight last night back to back.

Before Sunset was great. I loved the way the film ended. It was just perfect.

Midnight had a different feel to it. Much more adult and tense but still utterly compelling. It's as if the sweet honeymoon period had ended and their flaws begin the show through. This was probably my favourite of the three.
