What film did you watch last night?

I amazed that modern film makers can look at something as iconic as Robocop, Total Recall etc and say "I can do it better" or ""Lets make a totally different movie with the same name, people will love it".

There are very few cases where it's actually worked (Batman vs Batman Begins for example) and dozens upon dozens where it's failed miserably.

Kingsman : The Secret Service (2014) 5/10

Heard a lot of great things about this movie, and whilst it was enjoyable it did fail to live up to my expectations. It kept me and the missus entertained for a couple of hours, but ultimately for me.....forgettable.

some excellent walkthroughs on this one. In short, map the story backwards and that's your film.

I've read through this one on Memento
which has helped a lot. But for me personally, the movie is hard work. The story is too complex for its own good and quite absurd in many ways. And if he can't
make new memories, then it would be like groundhog day everyday for him, he'd never remember any progress he's made, he'd never remember what any of the tattoos relate to.

But anyway :p
So the rapists then, they really were a couple of random junkies? Or are we meant to read between the lines and think there's something more sinister to it, like, could Teddy be one of the rapists?

The Last Shift - Refreshing, reasonably original horror movie and while mildy predictable in a few parts, it did have some genuine butt clenching moments - 7.5/10

How To Be Single - Quite tolerable rom com and made better by Rebel Wilson who against general consensus amongst my friends, I think is really funny. Wifes cinema choice btw - 6/10

A Night At The Roxbury - Has aged so so badly, jokes fall flat and it was hard to finish watching, 3/10

Watched Deadpool last Friday - 8/10, was exactly the movie I've been looking for as of late.

Just finished watching Bridge of Spies - 9/10, absolutely fantastic movie well worth a watch for anyone that hasn't.

Watched the political thriller Ides of March on BBC iPlayer tonight. Fell asleep watching it last time around...written by the guy that created House of Cards starring Clooney, Gosling, Melissa Tomei, Paul Giamatti and Phillip Seymour Hoffman - great writing, cast and cinematography

The Martian - superb performance from Damon, great imagery and well almost a NASA docudrama, enjoyed every minute of it. 8/10
