What film did you watch last night?

Let the Right On In (2008) - Swedish romantic vampire movie, English subs.

What an amazing movie, not very gory. It explores the relationship between a 12yr old boy who's more of a loner and a 12yr old girl who's not all she appears to be.

The 2 leading youngsters put in an amazing performance to drag you into their world with gripping emotion. Forget Hollywood gloss and effects, this is real story telling stuff :)

10/10

I love you Philip Morris - 4/10

Thought it was ok but it tries to be a bit too clever but doesn't pull it off.

New Moon - Still gayer than Dale Winton, but MUCH better than the first Twilight film.

I watched it too. All i could think all the way through it was 'Just bite her ffs and have done with it!!!'. Still a load of rubbish, so gets a 2/10 from me.

Friday night - Shutter Island - not bad although not particularly difficult to work out whats going on - 7/10

Sunday - Clash Of The Titans (3D) - very average - long build up with the "best" fight scenes shoe-horned into the last 20 mins - and VERY poor 3D effects!!! - 4/10

Monday - Kick Ass - thoroughly enjoyable with some cracking moments - just a shame they couldnt ramp it up to make it an 18 (difficult given there is a little girl in it! :p) - 9/10

Cinema-fest!!!!! :D

Had a bit of a "favourite movies" weekend, the Mrs was at work and the kids were playing, so on went the media center and i busted out the following...

Any given sunday - 8/10

The replacements - 7/10

Days of thunder - 8/10

Goodfellas - 9/10

Sniper - 7/10

Enemy at the gates - 8/10

The Bourne Trilogy. - 9/10

Also watched How to train your Dragon with my little boy, i thought it was average at best, the animation was good but the story was a bit weak, also there was something wrong with the sizing, the "good dragon" sometimes looked way too small, and other times much bigger?

anyways, 6/10

Hmm.

Watched quite a lot recently, so I thought I'd do an update.

X Men - Enjoyed it.

X Men II - Again, enjoyed it found them to be quite good.

Dead Man Running - Meh

24: Season 4 - I did enjoy this one, Jack is 'ard.

Shutter Island - Enjoyed it quite a lot, despite figuring it out quite quickly I thought it was still a really decent flick.

2012 - :D For some unknown reason I enjoyed this, I thought it was awful, I didn't think it looked that amazing either and well it wasn't a good film, but I enjoyed the stupidness of it. Woody was brilliant as the nutty radio guy.

Zombieland - Really liked this, had a Left 4 Dead feel to it and again, Bill Murray and Woody were outstanding :D

Clash of the Titans - ****. Proves that 3D is just a gimmick and doesn't work if you film the film "normally" and then run a computer programme to make it 3D. ****.

Alice in Wonderland - Not his best work, but enjoyed it. All the characters / voices were done well and I found it really good to look at, again not something that should be seen in 3D.
