What film did you watch last night?

the other day i rated avatar very highly ,10/10 i think:p , ive watched it twice in the last 3 days , and i kind of agree with parts of the statement above that the story is very basic and is very easy to predict what will happen.

I would have liked to have seen and learned more about the aliens characters, hopefully this will happen in the sequel as i felt there was to much focus on jake sully and neytiri and not the other aliens?

still thought the film was great though.
 
The assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

An excellent watch if only for the beauty of some of the shots.

Casey Affleck puts in a great performance as Robert Ford and i loved how the narrated scenes were done.


Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Enjoyable if somewhat stupid adventure

I watched this a few days ago and agree with the above statements, the film is just full of everyday film cliche's its unbelievable, the only thing it had going for it is the visuals, were my only complaint on that side of things were the flight motions just didn't seem right.
 
One Missed Call - american version

7/10, not as good as the far eastern original which is truly horrific for a good 50% of the film lol. I do however like the ringtone :P

Watched this last night, really enjoyed it.
My one gripe is that it is pretty long and it feels longer, was my own fault for starting to watch it far too late :p

I would agree with that point, it is dragged out.


Just watched Wanted.

Thought i'd enjoy some mindless action since i put my back out and am stuck on the floor in the front room
 
Well not exactly last night but in last fe nights ive watched two films:

Avatar - Okay yes i think it looks stuning and sounds it too but seriusly how in the hell it did aswell as it did i dont know its a very typical story and easy to read as to what will happen and as pointed above gets very silly yet..i still found it okay buts its nothing ground braking at all. 6/10

The Defendor - Easily the best film of the two, Good story fun to watch enjoyable, good acting by all in it do reccomened it. 8/10
 
had a sci fi night last night & watched the following:

Dark Star. which was as low budget & silly as i remember it. so bad its good type of movie. 8/10
The Quiet Earth. not exactly action packed, but a little different. 7.5/10
Avatar. visually stunning. technically superb. story wise... oooooh dear. there where moments during the film where i actually face palmed because of the story. 6/10
