What film did you watch last night?

The Book of Eli.

Thought it was great but then again i would as i seem to love most post apocalyptical movies anyways.

A solid 8.5/10

I just watched Saving Private Ryan on Blu-ray. The Blu-ray itself was good but not phenomenal, but then again this might have been deliberate. (leaving a slight grittiness to the picture) There was also a part in the Blu-ray where the dialogue was terribly out of sync (the part where Matt Damon (Private Ryan) and Tom Hanks are talking about memories of home)

The film itself 8.5/10
The Blu-ray transfer 7/10

Yeah I was a little disappointed with Blu Ray transfer myself and actually preferred the lighting on the DVD release as they seemed to have "brightened" this one up a bit.

Into The Wild.

Whilst the film was beautifully shot and had a great message behind it, the storyline just didn't do enough for me. It was simply the story of one man and his travel to Alaska.

I don't know what more I would have liked, every time a character got interesting he moved on to a new destination. But there was a very remember able quote which went along the lines of 'Happiness is best shared in life'

For me personally the middle of the film dragged on as well...

Gah, I'm going to go with 6.5/10

Milk

edit: good film, great acting by Penn, and the film maintains interest even though you know what's going to happen. 8/10 :)

I finally watched Alien vs Predator: Requiem. What a pile of poop that is. They pretty much watched Aliens and decided it already had plenty of good plot ideas so stole them wholesale.

I watched saving private ryan last night, until last night I hadn't watched it in its entirety since its dvd release. It was still as epic as I remember it.

The gritty grainy look is intended. I would say the transfer is top notch. The out of sync audio section is a shame but paramount are aware of it and if you phone them up they will put you on the list for a replacement once they have resolved it.

Shooting Fish, a lot better the first time I seen it. Kate Beckinsale with stupid short hair, and if you would have read any of my other posts you would know why I hate short hair so... anyway. 5/10. Cheesey in most parts, weak storyline.

Been going through some cheesy Sci-fi/Horror movies.

Just watched Leviathan and C.H.U.D which both just happen to star Daniel Stern. They were more comical to watch than anything. :D

Went to see Nightmare on elm street, Date night and Four Lions.

All were average films. Nightmare being the most disappointing. Four Lions had some good laughs though. Had me lol.
