What film did you watch last night?

Burn after Reading.

Typical Cohen film, although not their best by a long way, an enjoyable film nether the less

I only discovered this late last year. Can't believe I'd missed it for so long!

:)

I only discovered a few days ago and I am so glad I did - really, really enjoyed that film and will definitely watch again and recommend it to family and friends. It's crazy that films like this are not so well known but are so good.

Can you recommend any other good australian movies?

Have watched these lately:

Waltz With Bashir: really good, such effective animation and story telling

Crash: A bit like Magnolia in structure, excellent script and concept

Say Anything: John Cusack is as natural as ever, better than the average high school movie

Big Trouble In Little China: What. The. ****.

Blood Diamond

Much better than I thought it would be, and another good film starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Some good action, not too much graphic violence and a great storyline. Now all i have to do is convince the wife it's worth watching.

8/10

Fantastic Mr Fox

Absolutely brilliant, one of the best animated films (bar Up) that I've seen ever. Really very funny and totally different to the usual. Fitting film for a great book.

9/10

Having just read a book about the paranoia of the 70's, I re-watched The Last King of Scotland. Still makes me tense.

Kick ass 8/10, great laugh but still a few annoying cliché's and expectable plot. A bit silly too I guess.

Rear window, 9/10, great film, great shots of the other people's apartments. Even though the whole film plays from his apartment it's still very interesting.
