One of my favourites
its because both films were a homage to tarantino's love of the grindhouse scene.
its tongue in cheek, and to get the feel of a b film ( specifically exploitation b films) which what the grindhouse scene encompassed, they shot it the way they did.

Great film, especially considering the year it's from, it's just superb.
I didn't like it, the whole film felt meh to me, perhaps I expected a different comedy and didn't really understand it.

Just finished watching avatar, i absolutly LOVED it. Loved the visuals and the story was good imo. I hated the military in that film tho snowdog liked the lets bash non humans for resources i didnt. Absolutly 10/10 might pop to cinema if its still on in 3d.

I watched Daybreakers, what a load of crap
Watched it last night wasnt half as bad as i thought it was gonna be,the effects were decent but the story felt it could have been abit longer or it was cut up a lot.

Possibly the greatest work of science fiction ever committed to film. What always strikes me when I watch this is how it ranges from awe inspiring at the beginning to almost chilling towards the end, the change in mood comes so subtly that you really can't tell when or where it occurred.
HALs "Stop Dave....I'm afraid....I'm afraid Dave....Dave....My mind is going"The fact that even with HAL's monotone voice that is one of the saddest lines I have ever heard in a film amazes me every time.
The entire sequence takes place in a single room, with maybe 3 total shots with nothing but a dull oxygen pressure sound, Dave's breathing and Hal's voice yet is so emotionally powerful, it really does put most films made in the last 40 years to shame.
