What film did you watch last night?

Transformers: The Last Knight 6.5/10

I feel non of the movies link up, all the movies seam a bit random as if you have turned up late and missed 45 mins of what has happened.

Indiana Jones and the raiders of the lost arc. 8/10

One of my local cinemas does a classic film once in a while.
Just makes me realise how old Harrison is getting. I fear he won't be with us soon.

Film is great, almost slapstick in places brought back a lot of childhood memories.

It really bugs me that they renamed the film just so it included Indiana Jones in the title. What a mouthful!

What's wrong with the original title - Raiders of the Lost Ark!?!?!

I remember getting the box set and seeing this and immediately grumbling. There again I am getting old and grumbling is what I do :)

I've been doing some horror films the last few days.

Poltergeist - 7/10
Creepy, well done with decent special effects and some bits that made me jump even though I know the story (but can't remember watching it in full before).

Poltergeist 2- 6/10
More of the same.

Poltergeist 3 - 4/10 it felt like it was a rehash without the same impact at all, I actually got bored watching it.

Gyo Tokyo Fish attack - 5/10
Anime meets Sharknado/Sharkenstien.
Reasonably fun, slightly odd film about fish that have mechanical legs and start to attack pretty much everything on land.

I didn't know it had been renamed; thought it was still just RotLA.

They probably did it because there seems to be more and more people who need things explaining to them, otherwise they just can't connect RotLA as being an Indiana Jones film. :p

Probably the same people that went to see Richard III at the cinema and then said "What happened in the first two films?" :P

True Romance.

Never seen it before, and it's a great film! 8/10!

Brilliant film. I'd try and get the missus to watch it but shes an utter film pleb who decides in the first 5 minutes if she is going to watch a film and then just sits there on her phone ignoring the rest of it if she decides its not up to scratch.

The best part is that she then has the worlds strongest opinion on the films she didn't watch and didn't like. Its not "I didn't really like it" or "I didn't really pay attention". Its the worst film in the world that nobody should watch. Its got to the point now where I just don't watch films with her that are not something like Shrek because it does my head in. She then complains that I don't want to watch films with her. Argghhh.

P.s Watch the usual suspects if you haven't seen it.

I watched it with my then-girlfriend (now wife) about 10 years ago and she actually liked it.

it's a love story, after all.

The scene with Walken and Hopper is one of my favourite of all time. They both absolutely tear it up.

Me: Do you want to watch the new Blade Runner on Thursday?

Wife: But I haven't seen the short stories yet.

Me: I told you they existed, you could have found them on Youtube.

Wife: You were supposed to line them up for me on the TV and sit me down on the sofa to watch them.

Me: <rolls eyes> I'm off to watch a couple of episodes of "The Tick".

It's actually my girlfriends favourite film, which is why I watched it!

Yea, I've seen that years ago but certainly worth another watch I think.

I hope she has some other redeeming qualities lol.

I watched True Romance last night, great movie and would highly recommend it to all :D . Also the new King Kong which is worth a viewing.

The Mountain Between Us (2017) - 3/10

The plot is contrived and plods along with a variety of contrived hardships for them to overcome, but does little else to keep you entertained or interested.

The romance element barely fizzles with little build up or emotional impact, and apart from the passable acting, some beautiful scenery and the dog’s abundance of energy, there’s little to recommend.
