What film did you watch last night?

I always liked 'the legend of hell house' tho it may be a little old for your tastes

me and our lass will probably end up laughing the whole way though if it came out in the 1970's, were 22 so unless its got fancy CGI or a good twist/psychological plot we probably won't be scared...

Get out for me was the best film of the year

I always just default to YouTube for shorts if I canne find anything anywhere else.

Get 'Meshes Of The Afternoon' watched if you've not seen it before. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!
I'll give this a shot and yeah the first thing i do is try searching through the tube for trailers etc but there so hard to find and always suggest **** movies in the sidebar :(

The Collection, sequel to "The Collector"...If the first movie was a circle jerk, this was a full on 100 man bukkake session with extra man sauce.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 3/10 - SPOILER FREE - I liked Ep7 but knew it was flawed yet despite that it still "felt" like a Star Wars film and the 10 year old inside me was happy. Sadly the same isn't true with Ep8 and I'm truly gutted about that. Visually I think it's stunning, absolutely gorgeous, but the biggest problem for me is the story itself really feels woeful at best, full of stupid decisions to advance a plot which is already stupid, wasteful with it's characters and containing some very blatant "Right On" Hollywood messages through-out when talking about the Empire which were far too noticeable.

In balance however there were some good scenes, although rare, in the film with several scenes in particular that were very enjoyable to watch.

Despite that, unlike Ep7 or Rogue One I don't think I'll be going back to cinema to see it again :(
Agree with everything you say, though I would go more 5/10. Saw Ep7 twice in the cinema, no desire to see 8 again :(

Wonder Woman - Gal Gadot/10

Awful movie, i'd have stopped watching half way through if it wasn't for the mesmerising beauty of Gal Gadot.

Train to Busan (2016) - 9/10

A great modern zombie film that shows you don’t need excessive gore or violence to make a good horror film.

It has a few missteps along the way but it is entertaining, exciting and emotional throughout, using its simple plot and premise to great effect.

Good ending, use of world building, and style, with characters who you genuinely care for.

I agree completely, this is a great film. So much better than most Hollywood zombie flicks.

I'd give it 8/10

I loved it too. I missed it in the cinema and after someone mentioned it here I bought it as soon as it came out on Amazon. I'd asay it's the best zombie film I've watched. I'd agree with the rating.

The Dark Tower - 3/10.

This is a masterclass in how not to adapt a series of great books. Seriously, what was that?! Absolutely shocking.

2 points were for the fact I watched it in UHD blu-ray and it looked amazing.

It (1990). Not really very good. I watched the new film back in September, then read the book just recently. The 1990 version really suffers for being so compressed, it just can’t hope to include everything it needs to. The acting is also very patchy. On the plus side, it does at least partially adhere to the two timelines and memories and so on.

The LEGO Movie (2014) - 10/10

In summary, everything (about this film) is awesome!

It’s fun and funny throughout with a strong, moral story, and it uses a wide range of source materials that, although very random, manage to mesh together really well.

The animation always looks great and colourful and the story and characters are superb.

My only real complaint is that during the action scenes there’s so much going on, so quickly and in so much detail, you don’t get to fully appreciate it all in one viewing.

Did you watch both parts? Lasts time this came up a load of people said they had only watched part 1 OR part 2 :p

There's greasy fingerprints on the Lego minifigs. It's so subtle you can easily miss it, but once you see it? Wow! The attention to detail! Incredible film.

Dunkirk: 4/10.

The two hour long instagram filter, the incessant violin playing and fake and irrelevant sound effects were god awful. The scenes jumping all over the place only made it worse and the fact that I learned more about the actual encounter from some reviews than I did from the film was the nail in the coffin.

Nolan really did screw the golden goose on this one.
