What film did you watch last night?

Just watched Archive (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6882604/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0).

Really enjoyed this, raises so many questions similar to Ex Machina about AI.

7/10

Not sure how to feel about Archive myself. I am normally a fan of good sci-fi stuff as well.

I really enjoyed Ex Machina but didn't seen to gel with Archive for some reason. Didn't really catch my attention or make me think about it much afterwards (normally a sign of a good film to me is how much it comes back to me later on).

So after going through the list and seeing what I think i would like i have these so far to try out.

hungry hippos don't you think i have enough lol was there any need lol

Your list is good but missing some serious classics! :D

@HungryHippos strong list...Ready Player One stands out as a weak addition though, I couldn't get on with it.

I like it if treated more for the visuals and the retro throwbacks than anything else. It's probably the weakest film in my list though.

Although John Wick 3 wasn't as good as first 2, it was an enjoyable action romp all the same. May rewatch the trilogy when I get some time off work.

@HungryHippos classics thats just naughty we know I dont like old films haha

:D

I actually don't tend to watch many old films, I don't know why. There are a lot of very well regarded older films, but at the same time I can often find them a bit dated for one reason or another.

It's hard to find a truly timeless film that doesn't suffer from being a product of it's time, although I am sure there are really old films that still stand up today.

You'll notice a lot of my films are circa 2000 onwards, mainly because I am a sucker for more modern things I guess.

I grew up watching things like Back to the Future though, so that kind of film will always have a soft spot with me. Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) was also good and I don't remember thinking it was dated when I watched it a few years ago.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) probably the earliest film I've seen for a while, and actually does hold up pretty well. Especially as it's available today in 4K.

I dont mind anything from say about the 80s maybe anything before 70s/60s I just can't get into mat e its the dsted thing or storyline I don't know its just weird like me

I saw Passengers 2008 Anne Hathaway. It was all going okayish until the end. Did also watch Knives Out and thought it was great tho.

Anna- Had this sat there for a while and not watched it. Got a good feel to it. some of the action scenes are very much like John Wick. Worth a watch.
