What film did you watch last night?

Once Upon A Time In America tonight. Pretty good. 8/10.

Best film ever! 3 and half hours or whatever though :p

I watched Stranger than Fiction starring Dustin Hoffman, Will Farrel and Maggie Ghyllanhaal. Decent enough film with a interesting concept but didn't blow me away.

6.5/10

You thought that footage was real? Lulz. Its actors, the doc style footage had worse acting than the film footage.

To better explain the events of this story, the director has included actual archived footage throughout the film. This footage was acquired from Nome psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler, who has personally documented over 65 hours of video and audio materials during the time of the incidents.

This is the first major film by writer and director Olatunde Osunsanmi, who is a protégé of independent film director Joe Carnahan.[3] The movie is set up as a re-enactment of the original documentary footage. It also uses "never-before-seen archival footage that is integrated into the film".[4]

"On September 2, 2009, an investigation by Izaak "Lord Norman" and the Detroit Daily News examined the validity of the film's premise, and its relation to actual disappearances that have occurred in and around the town of Nome. The investigation found no specific events to back up the claims in the film and also revealed that unsolved deaths in Nome are no more a majority of disappearances (just as in other remote areas).[10]

On November 12, 2009, Universal Pictures agreed to a $20,000 settlement with the Alaska Press Club "to settle complaints about fake news archives used to promote the movie." Universal acknowledged that they created fake online news articles and obituaries to make it appear that the movie had a basis in real events.[11] It is rumored that the interactive agency Earthbound Media Group, located in Irvine, CA, is responsible for this guerrilla marketing strategy as a third party agency hired by NBC.

On November 13, 2009, WorstPreviews.com reported "Universal Pictures has just reached out to us to let us know that the studio was not sued and the money was just a contribution Universal made to the Alaska Press Club. The contribution was not a result of any lawsuit."[12]

Inglourious ********.

Thougherly enjoyed it. Wish there was more Nazi bashing though :)

Indeed, I could have watched another hour of them doing crazy stuff.

Recently got it on blu-ray so will be re-watching soon.

I saw "Brothers" last night with the gf, drama/war/romance kinda thing, not too bad but bit girly.

Knight and day.

Here today gone tomorrow. Cruise and Diaz play through ok, both pull off the funny, you'll like it if you enjoy the rollercoaster chase me... it's very cliche.

Only a 6/10 though, as much as tc and cam do ok, there no arnie/curtis as in true lies.
