What film did you watch last night?

The Untouchables

gave up after sitting through an hour of it.

seriously this film was poor. it was a lame duck. yes it has an all star ensemble but the screenplay was dire. even after an hours psycological investment i had to walk away.

5/10

Watched The Matrix again - such a good film but CGI starting to show it's age now

9/10

Also watched Armoured. I thought it was quite good although could have been much, much more made of it. Good storyline but totally predictable - just a bit of mindless entertainment. Laurence Fishburne and Jean Reno were relatively good but rather see Reno in the anti-hero role than the bad guy.

6.5/10

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - 5/10

Too long, too sentimental, too much like Forrest Gump. The premise was interesting, but they didn't seem to do anything with it. The only times at which his age/age disparity meant anything was the start and the end, and by the time I'd endured the middle, I didn't care any more.

On the other hand, the effects were good, the acting was good, and there were some very beautiful shots.

In other news, Tilda Swinton and Cate Blanchett are pretty damn fine as far as older ladies go.

One Day Removals - 8/10
Reminded me of home so hence the high score :) Not a bad movie albeit a bit silly in places!

Just tried to watch Gamer on Sky. It's rare I stop watching a film part way through but this was so crap I only lasted 15 mins.

I mean, that Society thing looked so ****ing stupid.

Hoodlum http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119311/

saw it on mgm read the summary sounded good but was really disappointed considering the amount of known actors in it.

Lawrence fishbourne showed such a lack of emotion in many scenes just felt very unrealistic tim roth was ott and even andy garcia was below average imo. Stay away. :(

anyway i give it a 4.5/10

Next: An easy to watch Nicholas Cage movie, not the best storyline but one of those switch off and enjoy films. 7/10

I watched around half of it but the special effects are absolutely terrible considering its got a big actor like nic cage and how new it is. I just had to turn it over and im not one to do that very often, would have thought they would have had a bigger budget to allow for the cgi..

Cop Out - 6/10

I gave this one another chance after previously turning it off after 45 minutes from sheer boredom. The last hour is definitely a huge improvement on the opening 45 minutes!
