What film did you watch last night?

Local Hero - had never seen it before and I think I need to watch it again to properly understand it, but nevertheless a good film. 7/10, will probably score better when I see it again.

Salt

Thoroughly average, mildly predictable but contains the single most awesome killing/death in any film. Involves a balcony.

Watched Kick-Ass which I thought would be terrible but it wasn't actually that bad, obviously predictable but not as poor as I thought it would be.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - pretty much what I was expecting, It was like a cross between Indiana Jones and The Mummy. Still not too sure on casting Jake Gyllenhaal as the lead as he still reminds me of "Sam Hall" from The Day After Tomorrow :p

I'd give it 5/10 - and that's only because of Gemma Arterton ;)

Sunshine - a thoroughly enjoyable movie for proper sci-fi fans. There are minuscule parts that don't add up so if you're pedantic then don't bother. I loved it.

Man on Fire, god knows how many times I've seen this.

Don't bore of it, fantastic, looks, sounds, fantastic.

Still tear up at the end.

HEAT, a master peice imho.

Taken a "softer" film then Man on Fire, but still enjoyable :)

Run Silent, Run Deep. Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster as the captain and XO of a submarine on patrol looking for Japanese shipping to sink. Utterly brilliant; the 90 mins goes by so quick.

Crimson Tide is quite obviously based on this. Burt Lancaster should take up command of the submarine but Clark Gable, whose own submarine was sunk in the same area a year before, gets the command and the two oppose each other.

8 or 9/10 I'd say.
