What film did you watch last night?

Brian and Charles - 8/10

Such a nice, funny and heart-warming film. Loved it.

Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness - 7/10

I was expecting it to be a lot worse after many of the reviews! Actually found some of the bits a little brutal for a Marvel film - sort of Invincible Lite but a great illustration of the power of one of the characters. I didn't clock that it was Sam Raimi which totally explained a lot of the zombie/undead stuff and a nice cameo!!

Halloween 2018 - finally got around to watching this!

Wasn't bad, have Halloween Kills still to watch, but i've heard it's pants :(

Wifey was after a horror, but more ghost, creepy, psychological type stuff. We've watched Insidious, The Conjuring movies, anything recent and similar we may have missed?

The new one is pants yeah.

I recommend Get Out and Hereditary.

County Lines. 8/10. Quite a hard watch yet very compelling. Bleak, depressing, shocking and the horror of knowing that stuff actually goes on.

Uncharted

Not really a fan of Tom Holland but took a punt renting it on Youtube (only two quid) and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It's computer game roots are pretty evident and makes the likes of National Treasure look grounded in reality in comparison.

7/10

Posted in this thread about it last year, heavy going movie but as you say, compelling - sadly a little too realistic as well.

No time to die. Dunno what happened to the sarcastic humour that previous JB's used to have but DC would have none of it  Ruthless though which reminded me of Dalton's bond which I thought was a good thing. What's with the producers casting Oscar winners as Bond villains, Thought this one (Rami Malek) was Meh. Bring back the shark pond & Table cutting lasers I say :p 5/10.

London has Fallen - 6/10
Functional action with Gerard Butler playing Presidential Protection Agent Gerard Butler. Some really bad CGI at times, but otherwise fairly good action sequences.

County Lines is a good movie, a tough watch in places.

Alone. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7711170/

I was a little hesitant before watching, I'm not sure why... but it turned out to be good.

The fear conveyed by the expressions evident on the woman's face are most certainly believable, and the feeling of dread is also enhanced so very well by the ambient sound/music used.

Operation Mincemeat - 5/10 - Fairly solid film, good cast but some poor story decisions (the hinted at romance etc) but overall it was OK.
