What film did you watch last night?

Watched the reboot of Hellraiser last night. Not a patch one the original, but kept me entertained for the length of the film. It lacked the dark dread that the original portrayed. The cenobites where a bit lacking, scary maybe, over all it wasn’t dark enough.6.5/10

I watched All Quiet on the Western Front last night. Miserable, horrible and depressing war film reminding us again that there are no winners on either side ... 8/10
Would be 9/10 if it wasn't for the big horn noise going off in certain scenes. I didn't like that.

Every time that damned horn blared I kept expecting to see a Martian tripod looming over the battlefield.

Come to think of it, that'd be awesome. Hollywood, get on it!

Prometheus is ok if you ignore the dumb****ery of the crew. The biggest issue IMO is the retconning of the 'engineers' vs what we saw in the original Alien and the consequent continuation of that nonsense in Covenant.
The scale of the engineers and the timeline doesn't work.

Catherine Called Birdy - 6/10

It was a compromise to watch something I thought my other half would enjoy. I should stop doing that because it means I lose a “credit” to watch a movie I really want to see! (Anyone else do this?)

It was fine. Enjoyable comedy, nicely paced and nicely put together. Fell asleep slightly 2/3s of the way through. Moriarty was the highlight.

Remember Christmas only comes once a year !

Brosnan was so underrated as Bond.

Yea I agree, I think my favourite is still Roger Moore, I just think he had a certain something that made the character, but Brosnan was a close second.

Goldeneye is also, maybe the best bond movie, I'm torn between that and The Spy Who Loved Me, but the The World Is Not Enough, and Tomorrow Never Dies are also pretty good.

Ambulance 8/10

This just premiered on Sky Go, I watched it when it first came out a while back but wanted to watch it again and very much enjoyed it for the second time. I don't care what anyone says, it's a brain off, non stop thrill ride. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very good film & really enjoyed. Thankyou for highlighting!

Bullet Train. Pleasantly surprised with a 7/10 (5 being average). I like the Japanese mobster films and this follows. The Mrs wasn't too bored either so it did pretty good. Still not a serious mobster film but still fun.
