What film did you watch last night?

Saruman is in the theatrical release of Fellowship and Two Towers.

He’s not in the theatrical release of Return of the King at all. In the extended version, he is in there and… well… let’s just say it completes his plot arc! :)
Having watched The Two Towers yesterday I know where I made my mistake. For some odd reason my (clearly failing) memory was telling me Saruman's end was at the start of Two Towers, not Return of the King. Silly boy!

I think his end was at the end of the Two Towers book, so it’s understandable!

Edit - this is false and gets corrected in the posts below.

It was absolutely not lol, the scouring of the shire was at the end of the final book.

Ah, my bad - I erroneously extrapolated from this quote from Jackson:

Jackson told Ain't It Cool News: "The problem is that the sequence was originally shot for The Two Towers, as it is in the book. Since The Two Towers couldn't sustain a seven-minute 'wrap' after Helm's Deep, we thought it would be a good idea to save it for the beginning of the Return of the King.

I No have the 4k blu-ray version of this one but I do have the 4K HDR version on iTunes :D

And he's got a really cruel illness too.

Can't remember the name but seem to remember feeling gutted for him.
