What film did you watch last night?

Vesper - 5/10
The idea was really interesting and the cinematography was great. Unfortunately the movie was very slow and not too engaging.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One

Very poor. I think films that involve AI / cyber threats can be difficult to pull off and this one failed to do so.

I also felt second hand embarrassment for Tom Cruise as he looked like he put his all into it, but couldn't make up for how corny the rest of it was. First letdown in the MI franchise for me.

4/10

Saltburn... 8/10

I'm kinda loving it... What a completely mad little film. Really good acting throughout from everyone.
I had no idea where it was going and I was expecting it to go so many ways . Then it came to the end and I thought ok
... Lol fair enough... I guess this works too.
just weird.. but i was gripped throughout.... i just dropped a point off because after reading some reviews and interpretations im feeling a bit less !!! and abit more ????
Lol.
I loved this. I thought it looked amazing too. Great film, I like not being spoonfed exactly what I'm supposed to think about a character/arc. Although that does mean they could have left off the last 15mins in my opinion.

Emerald Fennel sounds so posh I wouldnt be surprised if this screenplay was mostly autobiographical :p

Tbh I though the ending ruined it. The journey was great but it was such a contrived, obvious ending that it let the film down. I was expecting something with a bit more shock and it was so unbelievably unlikely that it cheapened what was untill then well written.

Avatar The Way Of Water.

Bought the 3D Bluray and ripped it to the Shield to watch on in VR

Visually stunning much like the first film.

Wonder how many actually watched this in 3D

I watched it at the cinema but not 3d. I think most peoples issue wasn't that it didn't look nice, it was that it was just a bit of a rubbish film outside of the visuals. Even the visuals become dull quite quickly when you have hours of them.

I rewatched Kill Bill 1 and 2 because my younger brother had not seen them. The first film is an absolute riot! KB2 is also fun, but we both felt it was not as good as part 1.

KB1 - 9/10
KB2 - 8/10
