What film did you watch last night?

Couple on the cinema for Cinema Day

Deadpool and Wolverine - Usual funny Deadpool comedy and enjoyed it, some very funny bits :D
Alien Romulus - Standard alien film and reminds me of the earlier original films, started off well but trailed a bit at the end but still enjoyed it

Had a cinema day last Saturday and watched Twisters and Deadpool & Wolverine.

Twisters was pretty good, like the story and quite like Glen Powell (although he seems to play the same character in every film!) - 7/10

Deadpool however was just a hot mess! I loved the first two but this one was just nonsensical in my opinion!
The best bit was the acknowledgement that the whole multiverse angle and everything post Endgame has been dreadful! - a generous 4/10 for me!

That's commitment, when you can just put a Blu-ray disk in a machine
Keep it up. Nothing beats watching these glorious movies on the big screen how they first aired. Even if you just manage to catch a fraction of the magic of when they first came out it’s well worth it.

My sentiments exactly @Bigpig . Just isnt the same sitting at home. When your there no distractions with the sound booming you dont miss a thing. The immersion experience is next level. I always notice extra bits and details on the Big Screen that i never noticed before despite watching the same movie at home many times over in the past.

Borderlands (2024)

A request from my daughter which I wasn't enthused about it. It was not a good film, however, it's far from the worst film I've seen.
I will caveat this by saying I have not played any of the games, so no expectations. I also agree that the casting choices were a bit strange, Cate Blanchett is far, far better than this.
Claptrap made me laugh a few times, and Tiny Tina wasn't nearly as annoying as I expected.

5.5/10

Watched a few over the weekend..
Trap - I don't know why I keep watching Shyamalan films as they've mostly been trash but for some reason I think I like him. The first half was OK, then it went massively down hill. Josh Hartnett was excellent, but was the only good thing about this film. 3/10
Remember Me - First time I've seen this and the ending definitely caught me off guard. Well worth a watch. 7/10
Inside Out 2 - Enjoyable enough for a light watch on a Sunday night, better than some of their recent films in my mind, but not as good as Elemental. 6/10

Oof! Bit harsh there on Deadpool me thinks, I agree it's not as good as earlier films, but I still enjoyed it and had a good, old chortle throughout!

Avengers infinity war. Thought I’d watch it again as I couldn't remember it all. Good film. Onto End Game next as I feel as sleep last time I tried to watch it.

Molly's Game 9/10. Dialogue moves faster than the international space station plus I don't know the rules and language of poker, so it's hard to absorb a lot of the details, but a brilliant movie.

Waves. 9/10 About an African American family, tragedy and love. A very long movie and very moving.
