Terminator at night has to be the only way surely ?
Star Wars - A New Hope
At the cinema on a very big screen.
Amazing and loved every minute of it. Seeing the sets and customs on a massive screen was fantastic!
The Count of Monte-Cristo (2024) - 9/10
A captivating story of subterfuge, revenge, justice and unrequited love. It’s enjoyable to watch thanks to the rousing classical soundtrack, the superbly opulent settings, beautiful scenery and authentic looking period style.
The strong acting performances, dramatic action scenes and stylish camerawork made the long run time fly by.
Although the story is told over a long period, the characters didn’t really age (making this a timeless classic?) and the ending, whilst just, still felt a bit anticlimactic.
I saw this in the cinema on release in '91, and it blew me away. One film I watched a lot on VHS, and then finally got to see on the big screen was Robocop, and it was fab too.Terminator 2 at Odeon last night. Absolutely brilliant on the big screen. I've probably seen it 20+ times over the years as kid on TV and VHS at home but seeing at cinema was like ace. Was grinning ear to ear so many times watch all those iconic scenes and one liners!
New version. Still loved every minute of itWas the extended new version or the original screening?
Nice to know i wasnt sure of this but will defo check it out. Thanks
Keep it up. Nothing beats watching these glorious movies on the big screen how they first aired. Even if you just manage to catch a fraction of the magic of when they first came out it’s well worth it.The Terminator 2 - Judgement Day. Absolutely brilliant. What an amazing sequel. It was always hard to live up to these 2 movies from James Cameron. Little wonder the Terminator franchise has never been able to produce a worthy sequel that has come close to the success of these 2. It was a surprise showing and only on 1 night in 1 place at 1 time. So had to make the 100 mile round trip to catch it. It was well worth it. 9/10.
There is something more special about seeing a film in the cinema though. That's commitment, when you can just put a Blu-ray disk in a machine
