Apparently he also lost a shed load ($120m) of his own money as well.Megalopolis. 3 / 10.
Coppola certainly lost the plot with this one. I've no meaningful idea what the film was about or the message it was trying to convey aside from some convoluted nonsense about living for today and not in the tomorrow.
Only saving grace was Aubrey Plaza being highly suggestive.
What's weirder, is that I could have sworn he said this was his final film - and yet he's just announced anotherApparently he also lost a shed load ($120m) of his own money as well.
Didn't they release it on bluray in 1080p? what did that look like?
Ouch. Does the Blu Ray look bad then? I've only got the dvd.
I really think this is something that's worth getting onto them about to seek clarificationThe BR looks the same afaik. I checked the Amazon stream the other night, same as well.
I'd imagine the 4k release being spoke about is going to use some upscaling shenanigans (AI?) to try and improve the quality....not that i have any knowledge about these sort of things!
I thought so in a weird was as I scanned through the remux I grabbed - but an AI upscale is going to remove a bunch of the noise, sharpen it and fill in frames that simply aren't thereYep the version I watched was 1080p 12 gig file, the picture was bad, part of the charm though?
Hope they do a good job but I think it will remove something that made it good, it was quite a bad picture though!I thought so in a weird was as I scanned through the remux I grabbed - but an AI upscale is going to remove a bunch of the noise, sharpen it and fill in frames that simply aren't there
Watching it nowDie Hard - 1988
About as festive as I get.
Awesome movie though, you basically can't fault it really.
