What film did you watch last night?

The Black Swan

It was ok, no where near as good as it was made out to be, however i do think Natalie Portman deserves an oscar for her performance.

Everything else about the film i can see elsewhere, maybe not done as stylishly but it can be seen.

7/10

Voyage of the Dawn Treader in 3d. I was forced to go :D

It was better than I thought it would be, and I'm a bit of a 3d film pushover (even though it wasn't proper 3d).

6/10

Unstoppable.

It should have been called Stoppable. Film title lies.

**** film aswell.... Why is Denzo in such poor films lately? Not bad to say he is 1 of the 2 of my fave actors.

3/10

Watched Black Swan on Sunday night and thought it was amazing. All aspects were brilliantly done and the score was exceptional imo.

Watched unstoppable last night and it was an enjoyable bit of time wasting with good performances all round but due to the nature of the film you know it's all going to work out in the end so there's no real thrills to be had.

Watched Paranormal Activity 2 tonight.

Good, but not as good or as scary/jumpy as the first

Also finished watching The Book of Eli. Best film I've watched in ages, and majorly underrated on IMDB.

Expendables 6/10

Great to see some old action legends thrown together. But I did actually get a bit bored at one point and started playing with my phone.

How to train a dragon 9/10

Great story and brilliant visuals. Thought it would be rubbish, but it was really good. The wife really liked it.

Splice 4/10 - Failed to express any real message about gene experimentation. The female role turning from good to bad was half baked and didn't really work. Brody I don't find very convincing at the best of times. Just didn't really do any thing for me.

^ Could not agree more.

I watched Pulm Fiction last night for the first time ever!

9/10 what an epic film, cant believe I'd never seen it.

The Untouchables 9/10, one of my alltime fav movies:

Federal agent Elliot Ness assembles a personal team of mob fighters to bring Chicago crime boss Al Capone to justice using unconventional means during the mob wars of the 1920s. This fictionalized account of the arrest of Al Capone is heavy on style and gunfire.

Great movie and one everyone should watch atleast once.

"Into The Wild" - really enjoyed it. Having had to go through a period where I've sold a majority of my posessions that you would classify as "wants" & NOT "needs I found it very helpful in seperating important things from trivial.

The picturesque visuals were gorgeous but the incredible sountrack put a 'cherry' on this 'cake' for me. Eddie Vedder captured the feel & tone superbly well. I'm a big fan of the acoustic genre & it worked so well in this movie.

Expendables. Some good action scenes but many were dark and the camera angles were just not working. The plot was spread too thin and none of the characters were particularly likeable. 5/10
