What film did you watch last night?

Brilliant film, I love all of Wes Anderson's films :)

Anderson and Aronofsky are perhaps two of my favourite directors.

Anderson's new film is out now I believe. The trailer didn't seem awe-inspiring, but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt on this one: Roald Dahl done by Wes Anderson... how can it not work? :D

Yeah I really looking forward to that as well. Although after looking at the cast list I'm A) pleased he's using pretty much the same cast he always does and B) annoyed that people keep handing George Clooney work :p

I ran out of excuses last night and had to watch twilight with the mrs.

Quite tedious to begin with, spent most of the time working out which actress had the biggest breasts or whether the blonde vamp was dirtier than the short dark haired vamp - what else was I supposed to do?

It finished better than it started. Not going to say I liked it because thats not very manly.

We are doing the annual Toys R Us dance today and watching New Moon after.

Well watched 4 films in last 4 nights ill rate them in the order of my taste 1 being best

1st Star Trek 9/10
2nd Transformers 2 7/10
3rd Terminator Salvation 7/10
4th Jennifers Body 6/10

I watched Gladiator yesterday for the first time! Can't believe I held off it for so long, it was a superb movie. Up there with 300 and the like. 8.5/10 for me.

Pineapple Express

"I just killed you with a Daewoo Lanos mother ****er! How'd you like me now?" *Shoots foot off with shotgun*

Good stuff, second half way a lot better than that first though.

Assembly (Ji Jie Hao)

It was a good film but felt almost clichéd in the sense that it borrowed a lot from recent Western films. I found that around 2/3rds of way through however, the film completely changed pace which actually suited it better - but is actually the whole point of the film. It's very sentimental but in that quirky ideological way; at times it felt like they were really trying to sell the sacrificial aspects and were doing it in all sincereity and seriousness but it came off as unrefined and a little too tiresome. Still, I never felt compelled to stop watching. Perhaps I've been spoilt by the Western take on such films, but this film did very much feel like they were borrowing a lot from the likes of Saving Private Ryan. However, that said I did enjoy the film and would recommend it to any fan of war-flicks. The only problem being that your focus is namely on reading the subtitles as opposed to watching the visuals entirely.

6.5/10

25th Hour. Ed Norton was in it, never heard of it before, was alright!

Watched this today on the strength of your recommendation, I have to say I was pretty unimpressed, the film was so uneventful at the end I was left wondering why I should care about any of it. I felt a bit let down tbh.

6/10 - mainly because the acting was solid and I liked the ending, if it wasn't for that it would be sub-5.

Watched Moon earlier. What a fantastic and well put together film.

I was a little confused with it all at first but I guess that's what they wanted you to feel.

Really emotional in some places aswell. 9/10 easily.

Yesterday I watched:

Twilight: New Moon 4/10
Taken 9.5/10
Me, Myself and Irene 7/10

Must say they were good, well Twilight was bearable, and taken was unbeliveably good. I havent seen a action movie as good as that in a long time.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.
