What film did you watch last night?

Terminator salvation on blu ray. It wasnt really that great tbh, cant complain too much though as i got it for free.

6/10

Went to watch New Moon. Mrs has been really wanting to go and to be fair, after watching the first I actually found myself wanting to see what happens next.

Exactly the same as the first to start with in the tedious stakes but gets going somewhat later on.

I actually found myself thinking the girl is just a complete johnson tease and the lads would be better off having not met her. Completely non-descript girl manages to knacker two young lads lives which also happen to have unusual "hobbies"

Little short dark haird vamp girl can bite whatever she wants IMO :)

So hoping to watch Avatar in Cardiff now they've got IMAX screens.

Crash (the recent one) Quality film, not the 1st time I've seen it either.
The Green Mile - another classic, not as good as shawshank of course.

Just rewatched the latest Star Trek film. It's a good show but I still reckon it suffers from a very weak score, actually preferred the end title music to most of the dull pieces during the film.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Don't know why this got some bad reviews. Based on the other X-Men films it was just as good. I enjoyed the story and the action scenes. It's no classic obviously just mindless fun.

I watched 'Public Enemies' last night and I was totally underwhelmed.

Here's my review on iTunes:

Goodfellas it aint...

I got the impression that this film was trying to imitate Martin Scorsese's classic 'gangster glorifications'. Unfortunately, despite an amazing lineup of cast and director, it lacked the depth and intelligence of Goodfellas or Casino. The 'jail-break' set piece at the start was probably the best part of the film. However, it set a formula for poor CGI and disconnected action sequences which made following the plot a chore. Non of the stars lived up to expectations, with Christian Bale and Jonny Depp coming across as wooden, without any personality. Unlike the characters in Scorses' masterpieces, the audience feels no affinity or empathy towards any of the key players and ultimately this results in a disengaging film.
