What have you done to your car today?

Are you noticing a difference with the standard one? Pretty sure I've binned mine so I'm stuck with the RamAir. If I take the lid off the airbox I'm pretty sure it is going to fall off :D

Sounds the same, drives better down to the fitment and the map doesn't seem to perform any differently

Half considered one of the mountune /k&n filters that would be open at the end of the box but not sure I feel the need now.

Not having a good time recently, got a third puncture in 6 months!

This one, however, seems to be square in the middle of the tyre so hopefully can be fixed, the others both resulted in buggered tyres.

I wasn't really budgeting for spending £150 on a new tyre every 2 months!

Cor proper full geo jobs are expensive!

Still, car handles excellently now, the guy was right, its totally transformed it.
I have lost count of how many times I have had my car aligned properly. Spent a small fortune on that alone lol.

Makes a world of difference, had my camber at the front set to -1.5* and on track it was amazing compared to stock. Get some BC's or any adjustable coilolver and start messing and you will see how much it changes the car. That's without even getting into ride height and spring pre-load + corner balancing.

Was 200 quid to get everything zeroed, dial in a specific amount of front and rear camber, and lower the car 1cm per corner.

The Vlsd and the Ns2r's are actually a great combo for road use. The car is pretty light too being an early 1.6, I've removed the carpet and sound deadening, and will be removing the Ac gubbins and doing a manual window conversion somewhen.

£200?!

Bloody hell.

That was my reaction also... I think they charged me £44 too much, waiting to hear. I think I got charged twice for a complete alignment. Apparently they do the setups for some mx5 race team or other, they had all the gear and the facility and the chap doing it were really nice. Took a good 40 minutes because of how out / seized / etc everything was.

He did say it looks astoundingly good underneath and was stunned I only paid £500 for it.

Managed a top down drive.

Then washed it, very quickly. Given up with most of the stuff I used to do. Quick wash and wax. Will be dirty again in no time. Thank goodness for bilberry, does the wheels with no effort required.

Not my car, but changed the oil on my girlfriend's Focus today.

Whichever garage changed the oil last time must have employed gorillas instead of monkeys. This was by far the worst filter I've ever had to remove. My chain tool kept slipping and a big screwdriver hammered through the filter (point of no return!) ended up bending.

I went and bought a (£15!) claw type tool and finally persuaded the filter to move, but it took so much force that the actual filter casing was twisting even before the mating edge began to move.

It all proved too much for the claw tool in that one side of the tool snapped off! Back to my trusty chain tool (which I thought would end up snapping too) and with a lot of effort, finally worked the filter enough that it became loose.

Me neither. The worst one I've encountered to date.

You can see the seal has popped out of its seat. I didnt touch it, that happened upon removal. Whoever fitted the filter probably didn't lubricate the seal when fitting.

I got my Corrado back from the garage. When I had it MOT'd they accidentally reversed it out of the garage and into a post. So they arranged to get it fixed. The bumper is now better than it was before they broke it. So that ended up well :)

Ooo that's a pain.

Can recommend a tool for similar circs:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/BOA-BOAALI-Aluminium-Strap-Wrench/dp/B00096JDK8/

This tool is great. It can put so much force on things due to the friction generated from the rubber, but is also gentle and doesn't crash, scratch or mar more delicate surfaces.
