What have you done to your car today?

Managed to find the source of a really annoying rattle in the 335i. Turned out to be the high level brake light; it's held in place by two push in clips and one had come out. Pushed it all back together and I now have a rattle-free car again.

Happy days, because there's nothing that bugs me more than an unidentified rattle :)
 
Battery is knackered if it lasts 10 days.

Battery in mine was starting to droop when it was very cold last winter but perked up when the weather improved. Made it to September before it stopped holding enough charge to crank.

I wouldn't have the car with me anyway matey; our office is in Bank so I get the train up because parking is a mare.

We'll sort something out though dude, no worries.
 
Also, for the cost (£71, and i bought/fitted it the same day so didnt have the option to shop around) its not a lot of cost for piece of mind. Its Exide Premium 096 sized thing that warranted for four year

Thanks for the tip, I am amazed to see that CTEK even have a dealer in Dubai, so I may invest, particularly for the MX5 in the Summer when it wont get used much.
 
Got the tracking gauges out this morning and set the tracking on the escort right again. These munch through wishbones like no tomorrow. Hopefully a set of "royal mail lower arms " last a bit longer, not cheap at £220 a pair from Ford though.
 
Went to fit two control arms to mine but ended up just fitting my dads replacement door to his laguna.

Same paint code but from a slightly older car so it looks slightly out in the dark/rain. The fact it doesn't have a big dent in it helps the looks of the car but I pick out colour matches too easily. He doesn't clean his very much so I'm thinking a good clean and polish should bring the whole car back up.

Oh and I hate trim clips with a passion, French ones especially.
 
Had an annoying rattle coming from around the wheel arch, the garage I just got the car back from sent a mechanic on a 5 hour round trip to take a look at the car. Turned out someone didn't tighten 1 bolt on the undertray! Gutted for the lad to have to travel past Burmingham both ways in rush hour but outstanding service from Litchfield!

Booked a dyno session for next Thursday, on a Dyno Dynamics roller that I had my 350z mapped on last year, be good to see what the GTR is making!
 
Today was diagnosing the cause of the high emissions

MAF reading 1.00v on idle instead of ~0.7v and 1.9v at 3000rpm instead of ~1.5v so theres out problem
