What have you done to your car today?

Yep mine are all different colours. I just know I will mess it up and stick them on backwards or something. Wonder how much the thief's would charge to replace them *Writes out blank check* .

Wheel back from Royal Steering Wheels. Absolutely gobsmacked with the quality of the work, I had high expectations from photo's I've seen online but Jack totally surpassed them. Definitely worth the money.

Before (Not mine but the same)
After

Quickest way to transform an interior IMO. He gets the same result as a new OEM wheel as the same materials and processes are used, so I'd expect nothing less :p

Fitted a new android head unit. GA6163F to be exact.
Had to splice into bose audio system to get a correct frequency signal to the headunit.
Works as intended now.

Just need to figure out why it's refusing to connect to my 3g dongle.

I also carried out an engine flush along with renewing oil with a decent magnatec oil and half a bottle of SPT.

Happy car day!

Which 3G dongle?

I had a £8 one off ebay which randomly stops working, so replaced it with a Huawei WiFi hotspot (21Mbps) and that works flawlessly either as a WiFi hotspot, or if connected directly to the USB on the head unit, then it becomes a wired network connection (more ideal).

Front lower control arms replaced on the CC today, the heavy engine really does take a toll on the bushes, transformed the cars turn in and mid corner feel. Spent about 1.5k on it this month sorting out all the things to make it mint so this should be it for a while.

^^Probably buy a full exhaust after Christmas so i can hear the VR6 in its full glory, but finding one in the UK i like is tricky and not sure i want to go custom.

It's the pumpkin one from amazon.
It used to work in my old ga516f before I sold it but seems to be having a hard time working in the new one.

Tried it on my pc and it worked fine.

Nowt wrong with custom. Most of the time better made than the likes of miltek.

As long as you don't get a powerflow custom one that is

Practised drifting around the buildings on the farm, I really suck at it, I can do little skids, but when it comes to holding it I can't get the hand movements on the wheel right, I'm too much of a scaredy cat to let it spin in my hands to get enough angle... It doesn't help that its so underpowered (for this) that you have to deliberately throw it off balance first. :p

Did some donuts too which were absolutely amazing fun, everyone should do donuts more often, they should be compulsory! :D

Maybe I'm just showing up my immaturity, but who cares... :)

yup, they still do :)

Better clean though :p

Noble is on daily driver duty at the moment, standard exhaust going on the Z4 and bumpers off to get headlights off and cleaned up fully. Fixed the rear parking sensors too which is a bonus. Thinking of fitting the stock MSport suspension instead of the Eibachs but will see how I get on time wise :)

Corsa in the garage today, probably getting a new MAF sensor. Service fault light has been coming on intermittently with a rough idle. That was the problem about two and a half years ago when it last occurred - hoping there will be some sort of warranty on the part fitted otherwise looking at around £200 with diagnostic, part and labour.

Go and do a day here https://driftlimits.co.uk instead of messing on a farm, as far as being under powered either more pressure in the rear tyres or if you don't mind giving it some abuse then clutch kicking is effective

Yep have had custom before on Turbo cars, however with this being NA i want something with proven credentials rather than risk a power drop.

The M5 getting some paint correction

The insurance company concur. They estimated the repair today at £2.2k (ex VAT) and the value of the car at £5.6k. So repair authorised and I can use my preferred body shop (i.e. the Honda approved one) if I want to.

Update on the repair to my Insight. Door and sill replaced, to my satisfaction, paid for by the insurance company (LV). I paid £150 excess (£300 excess with £150 contribution from the repairing garage and they provided a loan car free for 3 weeks - repair was delayed because of their workload and waiting for a part).

Got my insurance renewal today. It's...

<drumroll>

... about £200 more expensive than last year.

So insurance claim seems to have worked out OK really.
